Damn. Hurricans near Texas, and wildfires in Colorado...:( Hope all of our people down in those areas are fine and will weather this BS just fine. No pun intended.
Big Hugs to all..

Don't forget a hurricane or two rolling up the East Coast, as well.

I think George Carlin was unto something about plastic (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eScDfYzMEEw).

"Wetter" than ever in Texas. Didn't help to have a blowout while driving to work with thirteen inches of rain falling all around but I "weathered" it fine. Hate wearing wet shoes all day. Took an extra pair with extra socks today and it was better.
Still raining some this evening but expected to move on through by tomorrow. then back to hot and humid.

Thanks for the well wishes!

This year--it went from a cold snowy winter to a warm wet spring--then very quickly to a hot summer--now its gone from the heat and humidity to crisp, cool fall weather--I just hope we get to enjoy that kind of weather for a time before it really turns cold again.

We really don't seem to have all that much "in between" weather anymore.

...and l.a. has clouds and grey all day long, for the thrid day straight, the highs in the 60's, with even light rain in some parts of the city/metro, people carrying umbrellas, and still three more weeks until summer ends! what the hell!!!

I have adopted family in San Antonio Tx, and they said the rain was Nasty in places, with 13 inches of rainfall in Houston. I hope all of our Texas folks will be ok, and our East Coast folks as well. Miss Belle, Ki says if you need rescuin', he volunteers...lol

The really scary part is how bad Kentucky needs the rain right now. Normally most of our rainfall comes from remnants of the hurricanes. So we have a small chance to get some from Hermine yet I feel so strongly for those in that storms path. Saw some video of the twisters that formed yesterday in downtown Dallas.

Yep. Been needing good rain here as well. We can do without all the thunderbolts and lightning, winds however. A nice ongoing tropical soaking all day and night for about four days, ah so nice, might help.

Well all of ya'll buckle down and ride the storms out, but Please be careful and be safe. Not much on this Earth scares me, but tornados Do. And knowing the destructive power of these things frightens me for people that I know, and care about...and that's all of you who may live in harms way, like Sexy Tex says.
Hugs guys and gals.
