I think that it is an interesting article and it reminds me how much more open relationships are between women than men. Men are still expected to be more rigid about their behaviour than women tend to be. Perhaps the younger male may very well loosen the categories for men. Why not see sexuality as more fluid than three categories?

I do find that some men see their sexuality as political. I become aware of the difference between some men who may engage in some form of same sex thoughts maybe sexual..maybe not differing from some men who see sexuality as political to the point of wanting labels that are clean and tidy...You're gay....you're straight...you're bisexual. These sexually political men seem more threatened when the boundaries shift as a newer generation may be less concerned about the fears of previous generations of men.

The article is however, perhaps a little idealistic but there may be shifting values regarding sexual labels. Men and affection between men as more non sexual...why not? I think that the younger generation of men is slightly more open but maintains much of traditional masculine behaviour.

interesting article and thanks for posting it bi zarro

we are too quick to limit aspects of who we are to the *boxes * and then lump everybody in the boxes......

while I am pansexual, I am lumped in with people that are *mostly straight *, bi curious, bi with a non emotional attraction, bi with a emotional attraction, bisexual with a interest in relationships with both genders..... hell the full range of bisexuality..... yet I am not like every bisexual..... cos there are differing levels of bisexuality....

trans people can be bisexual too.... yet that suddenly brings out the people that will argue that trans are not part of the sexuality spectrum cos their gender ID is not a sexuality.....

its interesting to watch that happen as it clearly shows that some people want to have control over the sexuality spectrum..and then try to exclude people from being part of the sexuality that we would expect others to call themselves

if a people Identifies as mainly hetero, what they are saying is that they are aware that they can show a interest in the bi side..... we call them bi curious..... so it begs the question that if they try being bi and realise its not for them, are they still expected to call themselves bi ... as masterbension beleives that they are bi...... or call themselves heteros, so tenni can jump up and down about this site being for bisexual...and how they have no need to be here......

no.... I didn't read it.... I actually used mystic mental powers to transform it into green jello than turned it into a transparent crystal ball and used it as a form of low level mind control over the 45-50 year olds that wear speedos on beachs in countries with a average temp of 60000 degrees calvin

yeah I read the article thats why I was able to find it interesting and the the similarities between them and some bi curious people.......

and why am I in this site, well its a toss up between 3 things..... one) I am bisexual ( more correctly pansexual, but hey I am not allowed to be pansexual as people like you only like people to be bisexual ... 2) I enjoy seeing trolls at work . and 3 ) the site needs people like me to keep the average IQ level higher than the level of a jellyfish or people that question if I have read a article right after I posted about how I found the article interesting.....

Interesting article. Funny, I used to refer to myself as mostly straight and got a fair bit of truck for that on this site - though many people were pretty understanding.

On the whole, I think labels are annoying, but if a quick descriptive can answer a lot of questions it can be easier to use one. I am all for the efficient use of language - if I can express myself better in four letters than four sentences, Fuck it, I will !

I therefor find it easier to tell people I am Bi, more straight to the point I think.

It is nice to see, however, that a new generation is coming up and might bring with them attitudes that erode the bigotry so many of us experience. Call them mostly straight if that's what they like. I welcome them to the party.
