I've known this was a possibility for a long time, looks like Google is contemplating running with it. I can almost hear the panic in the streets. As I've said countless times before, once you post your picture online it is there forever. Please read this carefully.

Thanks for posting this, Peg. I don't have a problem posting my picture online because I don't have anything to hide, yet the thought that they are doing it just so people could find out someone's name that they don't know and then find their phone number and e-mail address does bother me. Even some places like facebook give you the option to hide your email from other people, even to hide pictures from everyone or restrict to all friends or only some friends.
There have been lots of improvement in identity theft protection but it's still a painstaking process to recover your name and correct your credit history. People should always be conscientious about protecting privacy, shredding personal information on mail, even junk mail, that you throw away. Don't put information online that you don't want public. It's the only way to be safe on the net.
