I am wondering how many of you have sex during your wife/partner's menstruation period and if so is it enjoyable, is there too much of the "bloody scene", is this a turn off ?. Comments please

Personally, my husband and I don't go more than two days without sex if we can help it. So obviously going five days without it willingly would be out of the question. It does require more post-coital clean-up than usual, but I have a much higher sex drive during menstration (as if that's necessary), making it more than worth it. I say Go For It!!

I'd never turn it down. The Ladies that have have done it with all say the are much more horny during menstruation. From my point of view it feels so different and good it's well worth it.... Trip

We may be dealing with some cultural differences here.
That said, with attention to cleanliness there's no physical reason why a couple can't have sex during menstruation. Put down a big fluffy red/brown towel and have fun! Better yet, play in the shower.
As other women have mentioned, I'm even more horny during my cycle. Orgasms also help a LOT with cramps and bad moods caused by the hormone swings. Orgasms release all kinds of pleasure induced endorphins that make all those uncomfortable things go away.
I highly recommend it ;)

I also am really horny during that time, but my husband will not touch me at all then. He just wants to know when it starts, when it ends and when it's safe to touch me. He finds it gross! So if we do anything during that time it's usually him that gets release!

From my wife.
She has very intense orgasams during that time
but she thinks some of that is because mentally
she thinks sex during that time is taboo. She feels
like a "bad girl".
Me im ok with the mess, the different feeling is also a treat.
Thats what showers are for.
Hell Anal sex can get messy too so jump in the bath...

I think most women are horniest during some point of their mensies, after all we are in heat then. It might benefit you to give it a try and see just how wild a time you could have from it.

as a male, I can honestly say, its just a lil more stickier..... and you may smell the different scent during intercourse
its not dirty, and its not disgusting..... its social conditioning, that sex during menstruation, is wrong...
if you both feel a little uneasy about sex during menstruation.... do it in the shower lol....its easy to clean up and adds a lil spice to ya sex life

I am terribly horny during my period, but hubby just can't hack sex then. He just can't handle the blood. One peek at it and he loses his erection.
Thank the gods for toys :tong: .

Many years ago when in college, I had a girlfriend who got quite horny during her period. I must have seemed hesitant that first time for I remember her saying, "They make towels, don't they?"

Having replied already and reading the responses there is one more question not addressed and one maybe not for the faint of heart. I'll probably get keel hauled for this one but I have had parteners go wild with a bit of oral at that time to... Having the one your with get such pleasure is well worth it.There I've said it!!

We found that my wife also found relief from cramps and horniness from sex - especially oral - during her period. I have also knoe other women who felt the same way, but whose husbands or lovers delcined to accomadate.
As to the aesthetics, unless the flow was excessive, I found that there was no undue order or taste and enjoyed the excersise as I would have otherwise.

I agree! Just like it is "social conditioning" that teaches Bisexuality and Homosexuality are wrong.
My wife said that having an orgasm during menstruation went a hell of a long way to relieving cramps and making her feel better.

Well it's got to be said I am in the same boat as Mrs.F on this one.
My partner just see's the period as a no go area. There are advantages to not having sex during sex though for example when you do have sex again after five long days it's always better than ever as you are both extremley passionate and can't wait to rip each others clothes off!!!!
And anyway even if your partner refuses tohave anything to do with that whole area for five days a month thats what vibrators were invented for

I don't like it during that time. I am in "BITCH" mode and can't stand for someone to touch me. Sex is painful sometimes for me anyway so I don't want to risk Pelvic Inflammatory Disease (which there is a debate on if this can cause it). But with my history and my luck I would be the one to get it. I researched it on the web and this is the summary:
Period sex is a healthy, safe, and normal activity to engage in, provided you take the same precautions you would normally take during sex. Whether or not you actually decide to do it, and to what extent you decide to do it, is based totally on what you and your partner are comfortable with. So communicate your needs, wants, desires, and expectations with your partner, respect their wishes, and develop a roadmap so they know what to expect from you during menstruation and you know what to expect from them.

I am a female, and I have had sex during my period. I apologize beforehand for being graphic, but I found it kind of unsanitary, and I didn't enjoy it because when I get my period, my vaginal walls get a little more tender, so a penis doesn't feel too good. So after those experiences, I have decided not to have sex when I get my period, its unsanitary and unenjoyable for me.

No offense, I understand that some men find it "icky", but if you can't get any why should he?
Just my thoguht.
No one should do anything they feel uncomfortable with, but why should you have to go with out and he gets a release?
It's a personal thing.

I don't have a problem with it, and my husband doesn't seem to have a problem with it. Plus a woman with a normal regular period won't get pregnant during those days, which i think is a plus.
But I am horny the night before it starts, not during.

Pain is certainly a valid rationale for not engaging is penil/vaginal sex at any time.
There are, without question, many others. However, just as certainly, if the parties involved enjoy a particular sexual activity, they should be able to emgage in that activity without interference or censure by others. That includes not only sex during menstruation, bet even the many activites that don't arouse me, or perhaps even are major turn-offs to me.

After 18 years of marriage we have had intercourse maybe 4 times during menstration. But after reading her the posts here she is very turned on,and was not sure how i felt about it.She does not want me to try during heavy flow times and we both agree on no oral. She wants to know if people who do that are vampires.
Funny but the word Menstruation looks a lot like Men's frustration

My man is completely against it....to the point that hugs disappear during my cycle too. But then...he has never allowed me to see him pee or ejaculate either. His 'hang-ups' are his...and no reflection on me.
It's been fascinating to read the posts, thanks for the small education.
Yes, I'm in high arousal mode during my period, no cramps...so I use my toys to keep sane.

I have joined the "red-wing" club a long time ago. A woman I dated years ago had her period the first time we had sex. It felt good, though it was rather messy. Had to go clean up after. Oral sex went right out the window too. :2cents: :bipride:

I guess you can add my name to the growing list of woman who get so incredibly horny before my period starts it is amazing. I love the way my body feels just before. Like Country Lover said it may be a cultural thing, but making love in the shower is the puurrfect solution. Warm, wet and clean, while there some anal is aways a bit of pleasure.

I enjoy it and me an hubby have done it plenty of times. It has never bothered him, there's no worry about needing lube or anything. And a bonus is that orgasms during my period relieves my cramps and backache and I get a terrific nights sleep.
