My wife and I are planning to get matching tattoos to show ourlove and commitment for each other since she has come out as bi. This was my idea but only aged she said she would get my name tattooed to prove her feelings for me. This is crazy I told her as I would never get her name tattooed in case of divorce. We have decided on a design meaning unity which is quite cool and my wife is going to get hers coloured in in pink and purple which is a little odd as I could never imagine her with a pink tattoo. I am going to colour mine in in a copper colour, to make it pop out from my other tatts.
Do people think that matching tattoos are a good way to go?

never a partners name, unless you can cover it up if things turn to shit....lol
your idea is good, matching tattooes that are different in the coloring....
name tattoos are ones I would save for people I have lost, a tribute to those whose memories I treasure and yes, partners that I have lost ( buried )... but never a current partner or past partner ( living )

An ex gf an me got tattoo's done together. I had a ying yang and she had a bulldog.
Oh it was ever so romantic! It doesn't really matter what tattoo you both get, because you'll be reminded of each other every time you look at it.
That might not be a good thing though.

No, not really. Sounds too much like His and Hers towels. The tattoo, even if it does not contain her name will still remind you of her if you get divorced. I would opt for items of jewellery that could be taken off, placed in a drawer or even sold if you no longer lived together. However it is your body, your skin, your decision.

Worse. It will be a hit u in the face for every future partner. Have been there. There is nothing worse than having an ex's name flashed in front of the eyeballs at a very inopportune moment. It can turn hot into frozen. Its even worse if its more than just a casual fling.
