Here is something I wanted to share with everyone.

This song is done by Steve Earle and a female actress/musician named Lucia Micarelli, it is a cover of an early Bob Dylan song that appears on one of those compilation albums saluting Dylan that includes many musical artists.

If you have not ever seen the HBO series, "Treme"---Steve Earle played an itinerant street musician named "Harley." "Treme" follows the lives of some fictional and even some real residents of post-Katrina New Orleans. Lucia Micarelli plays a female fiddle player and her character and Earle's character were friends. I say "were" friends on the show, because towards the end of last season, while getting done with a late night gig, the two were walking together when they were set upon by some criminals and one of them shot and killed "Harley."

I am kinda bummed they killed off the character.

I figured that Micarelli was an actress that was taught how to sing and play the violin---but listening to this piece---she sure as hell can play that instrument----with this piece---putting so much emotion and power in her performance.

Here is a link to a youtube audio of the song "One More Cup of Coffee (To the Valley Below)--there is no video, only a picture of a very young, Mr. Robert Zimmerman, AKA Bob Dylan.

Wow, that was amazing, Voltie, thanks for sharing. So much of the "new" music makes me cringe and wish we could roll back the radio clock and only hear from masters like Dylan.

This is not an early Bob Dylan song at all. It's from the album "Desire" he put out in 1976 after he divorced his wife Sara but before he became a born again Christian in the late 70s. Steve Earle's music sucks ever since he got sober and he's burnt out from heroin and way too many drugs. DuckiesDarling Bob Dylan still releases albums, puts out music, and tours.
