I just took a "magic blue pill" (ie Viagra). It works to an extent, but usually upsets my stomach. Is it worth it???? For me, it's better than the alternative.
What are your experiences????

Works wonderfully, and as you it upsets my stomach, but it also gives me a really nasty headache, a very stuffy nose and the crazy blue vision. Most times I think it is worth it. My biggest problem is the price. My insurance covers a portion of it, but it still comes to about $7.00 a pill.
Cialis - same side affects but milder - no affect downstairs.
Lavetria - Same side affects but milder - sometimes works, sometimes does not. Annoying a that price.

At the time I worked for an insurance company they had Viagra on their list of excluded. No portion covered at all, any of the treatment for sexual dysfunction was excluded with the exception of hormone replacement therapy and some drugs and counseling were covered for gender dyphoria.
That being said, everyone I know that has taken it has had the same reaction with an upset stomach. The list of side effects for all of the drugs always make me cringe, the one that really gets me is the "if you experience an erection for more the four hours seek medical attention" That is scary as hell and I implore you guys, be careful using and make sure your doctor has explained everything to you. Talk to them about the upset stomach, they may know some tips to make it a little easier on the next use like taking on full stomach or with glass of milk or vice versa making sure stomach is empty. Hope the discomfort goes away and you enjoy the rest of the effects you were going for.

Thanks for the good thoughts Ms Duckie, Today it worked as expected. Because half of my erection controlling nerves were removed along with my prostate, even under the best of conditions (ie the pill works the way it's supposed to (OMG a dangling participle)) I can only get about half of an erection, but most of the time, I am able to penetrate with that half during the "warm up period". After we have proceeded beyond "warm up" I use a vaccuum pump and cock ring.
As I mentioned, I do get an upset stomach with Viagra, but have learned that if I eat something and take a Zantac prior to taking Viagra, the upset is not as bad. I tried a few samples of Cialis and the last time, although I was supposedly able to get an erection for two days, I also had the stomach upset for two days. Cialis seems to be the best for me in that it causes the least stomach upset, unfortunately it is not available for me right now.

Viagra works fine with me and I'm one that's never had any bad side effects, at least not yet. I'd recommend to those that want to try it that you ask your doctor for some free samples. I got two packets free and could probably get more. I've also heard you can cut the tablets in half and they work just as well.

The most critical thing to pay attention to is nitrates. If you have a heart condition and take nitrates, Viagara etc. may kill you. Similarly, poppers may be lethal to take with any ED medicine (viagra etc.)
The stomach, nasal and headache issues vary from guy to guy. I'm surprised to read that you are experiencing this drastically? I would be wary of taking it with milk or food as it slows down the absorption of the medicine into the blood stream. You want Sidenfal (viagra etc.) in your blood and flowing to your cock not lingering in your stomach with only partial absorption. It won't work that way. Wait at least one hour after eating before taking the med and then 40 to 60 minutes before it takes effect. If you eat a lot it will impact the effectiveness of the drug and slow the absorption into the blood system. The nasal sensation may be seen as a code for ready for action....lol I'm only guessing and it is better to check with a doctor but have you thought about taking zanax without food rather than with food?
Has anyone heard any personal reports on the daily cialis approach? (other than maybe cost)

The difference between your blue pill darkeyes and guys' blue pill is that the guys want something to "blow up"..not to the size of a house though..;) :)

See your urologist and ask him about injections for ed.I know that sounds bruutal but you feel very little. There are three different formulas, but the tri mix is the best by far. Your doctor will show you how to inject yourself,, and your cock will stay hard for an hour or so. I have been using this method for the last 6months and I couldnt be happier. Once you give yourself the injection it will take about 10 minutes befor your cock gets hard, and as I saidit will remain hard for about an hour, no matter how many times you orgasm. There are no side effects either. It's a miracle. I also had prostate cancer and after the surgery did ok sexually, but my docter said we should try the injections and I'm so glad he did

Personally, I never tried viagra. I have diabetes and high blood pressure. I have tried Cialis and it worked well on me, with no side effects.
But in all seriousness, this is a conversation you need to be having with your urologist and your gp.

My urologist asked me if I wanted to try the shots, but just couldn't bring my self to try it. I've been living like this since 2002, and am used to the pads, pills and pump.

This is an interesting subject. There is quite a bit of literature on the Internet. Randypan seems to be speaking from experience, and I have no reason to doubt him. From what I've read, Viagra, Levitra, and Cialis all seem to work essentially the same way...and with basically the same possible side effects: i.e. stuffy nose and headache. I've also read from an MD that in all the thousands of prescriptions he has given...NOT one has had an erection lasting OVER 4 hours...and requiring hospitalization (it seems this is a CYA from the manufacturers). My question is: has anyone had any experience with mail order generics?

Here is my experience: Viagra gives me a snuffy nose and my face gets red and hot. I've never gotten an upset stomach from it. I really don't need Viagra unless I am having a long sex session with multiple SOG. So I cut the pill in half and it works very well and the side effects are minimized. When I don't use Viagra, my orgasms hit me all of a sudden, like a roundhouse kick to the head. With Viagra, I can control when I have an orgasm. Recently, I have tried Cialis. I cut the pill in fourths and it works perfectly. The erections with Viagra seem harder and more "aggressive" than the ones with Cialis. The Cialis erections seem more natural. Also, the Cialis pill works quicker and the effects last longer. I raise my glass to the drug companies: "Better fucking through chemistry!"
