I can't speak for others, but I'm about 10-15 mins from Manhattan and aside from the storms yesterday, all is well here. I get flooding, so I get paranoid from the rain. That "line" was very accurate. There was a tornado watch, but nothing happened here in the immediate area.

I had actually thought of going to the beach in Rockaway yesterday - but decided sleeping until the afternoon was a better plan. The thing that scared me most about the storm was the thought of a big storm, and no storm party to be invited to !
