Two bold young neuroscientists have initiated a revolution in the scientific study of sexual attraction. Before Ogi Ogas and Sai Gaddam, the only researcher to systematically investigate sexual desires was Alfred Kinsey, who surveyed 18,000 middle-class Caucasians in the 1950s. But Ogas and Gaddam have studied the secret sexual behavior of more than a hundred million men and women around the world. Their method? They observed what people do within the anonymity of the Internet.
Watch the vid if you've got free time. Then maybe you can explain to me how the neuroscientists determined that the heterosexual men were heterosexual?

Interesting.
I didn't hear him really address how they identified heteros.... But he did seem confident enough to imply that if a guy is regularly viewing shemale (his term, not mine) porn, that guy is most likely hetero and/or bi, and very UNlikely to be gay.
Will have to track down more info on this to see how they structured this research and what other conclusions they came to (or didn't).

I don't think there's anything to figure out really. If your a guy and into cock your either bisexual or gay depending on whether you like women or not. If you like cock your not hetero.

Ogi says that there are 4 body parts that ALL heterosexual men are interested in -
1. Breasts 2. Arse 3. Feet 4. Penis.
The evidence is overwhelming that men search for 'Penis' almost as much as 'Vagina'. Men are interested in penises especially large penises.
They 'looked a' 35,000 of the most popular adult sites in the world, a 1000 of which were heterosexual sites devoted to large penises devoted to men.
In eye tracking studies, men look at the crotch much more often than women do.
"There is nothing gay about liking 'shemale' (his words!) porn! It's an erotic illusion.". "It combines the female anatomical cues - breasts, arse, feet.....all the curves of a body, with the other cue of a penis. Now see the penis is a cue that triggers sexual interest in men, and it combines them into a single gestalt."
I'm having trouble with that! Yes of course ALL men are interested in the penis as we all have one, and the erect penis is a pretty powerful sign that something erotic is going on.lol
But when a bloke is masturbating to transexual porn where there is only penis and no vagina....and it's IMPOSSIBLE not to notice that the 'female figure' has a MASSIVE COCK..and there is NO ILLUSION coz they actually searched for it.....I'm wondering if that says more about how desperate heterosexuality is defined, or how it reflects on how we define bisexuality & heterosexuality:-
At what point would those 'heterosexual' fans of transexual porn cross the line into bisexuality?

i think its important to understand that watching or googling porn does not necessarily mean u are:
a) turned on by that porn,
b) are watching porn to be turned on,
or c) that it is a sure barometer as to ur sexuality.
for instance we've all in the past clicked on links for porn videos which we watch out of curiosity, a vague sense of wanting to be horrified, and/or porn that is misdescribed and we end up there by being shoehorned into watching what they (site operators) want us to watch.
take the infamous "girls 1 cup", which is one of the most watched porn virals around. it features two girls shitting into a cup and then eating it. now i can guarantee the popularity of that video is not because there are hundreds of thousands of closet shit eaters. its mainly popular because we have a curiosity about the grotesque, that DOES NOT turn us on, as much as we have a desire for porn that does.
secondly im sure a lot of straight men may watch porn which feature men with big dicks as a self check mechanism to see if
a) they are doing it right themselves
and b) to measure up to said big dicks.
thirdly haven't u ever clicked on a porn link to see IF u might find the activity a turn on, and then confirmed that u dont?
dont forget that are many liberal minded straight men who develop bicuriosity (because they're not afraid of homophobia or being found out.. as many bisexual men here are)... but after they have satisfied their curiosity they decided that men are *not*for them.
not everyone catches desire for men like a common cold...simply by exposure. some guys check it out and realise they dont like it.
i feel this idea of 'more men are bi than u might think' is kindof a witch hunt against heterosexuality and is born out of a bitterness that one cant be straight. eg "if i cant be straight, then no one else can" sort of thing. see later.
also straight men are kinda used to seeing porn with dicks in...it kinds goes with the territory..but whilst the link may say something like "MILF milks big-dicked stud hard" oftentimes the camera is not focused on the guy or his parts, but on the 'satisfaction' of the women and her jiggly bits. if straight men like looking at dick going into pussy or dick being sucked...its because it reaffirms to them how much women 'want/enjoy/need cock' and so in this way turns them on.
*they are not turned on because the man is desirable but because the man is made to be an object of desire to the woman..and therefore they feel desired and horny.*
come on guys..shades of grey... finer details and all. its lazy thinking to proclaim lots of straight guys are all secretly holding a homo desire and this lazy thinking is routed (as so many things in sexuality are) around personalised self-shame.
e.g "if im bi, ur bi and therefore im not abnormal, *you* are. you are the freak/sissy/outcast for not admitting it, not me for desiring it."
Daf
thanks for the link though. food for thought.

Well thought out and argued, Daffy:bigrin: and much truth in what u say... but in me own humble opinion it does not alter the fact that there are probably more gay and bi men (and women) than many str8 men (and women) like to accept... centuries of witch-hunting of gay and bi men (and women) has in large part made many gay and bi men (and women) as anti gay and bi as any str8... and just as bigoted against their own kind... I don't accept there is a witch'hunt against the heterosexual community kind of or any other kind... I don't think most str8 men and women believe that for a second... what they are having to put up with is the gay and bisexual communities, both men and women increasingly refusing to accept being witch-hunted ne more... but having said all that.. ur arguments are perfectly valid even if a little overstated..:love87:

@ Lovely Dafydd - Yes that makes sense. But the 'researchers' point out that 'One Cup' thing and put that down to non-sexual curiosity, where they class the penises of the transexual porn stars to be sexually attractive to heterosexual men...."A little extra something.".
Could well be that all those hetero men hit the transexual sites out of curiosity. But having assumed that that's not the case (the 'researchers') they still claim that to be sexually attracted to penis is in the realms of heterosexuality. They state that to be true. Or are they saying that?
Am not on a witch hunt to claim that all men are bisexual, but looking to find what line there is between hetero and bi sexualities in men......and what IS bisexuality.
From what I can make out of the neuroscientists point of view, sexuality is defined by the masc or fem physique of the person you're sexualy attracted to, and the genitals don't count.
Those bisexuals who are ONLY attracted to cock are heterosexual? They could suck it, frott it, ride it and still be heterosexual?
It sounds to me like a pretty desperate cling on to heterosexuality when it's very blurry as to what heterosexuality is. More confusing than bisexuality?

So they're watchin' us awl rat now on bisexual.com? Nah. Not unless they've hacked into m'cam and 100M other cams; meaning: how d'they know whether or not Ah's male, female or transgendered, or just a damn smart monkey? Or this very text might could just be m'own wife role playin' me to pay me back for bein' such a damn smart ass. Guess Ah'm skeptical. Ah learned w'the Kinsey's and the vids they'd make, real folks playin' with each others' ...whatevers. They weren't just anonymous IP's playin' with...whatevers. Oh. For the record: Ah ain't a monkey. Yet.

@RustyPete/Mrs RustyPete Roleplaying- They claim they interviewed the 'test subjects' to get their info.
BUT saying that........At first it was anonymous, and that anonymity is the crux of the 'honest groundbreaking' truth of the sexual likings of their surfing.
Then they broke that anonymity to interview them. Not quite sure how that worked out:-
Ogi: Oi you dirty bugger! You've been watching transexual porn every night for the last 6mths!
Joe Random: WTF? You've been spying on me? Jezuz!!!!
Ogi: Yeh from our van outside! So are you bent as a butchers hook then or what?
Joe Random: How DARE you sir! I am a heterosexual man! Now f**k off!
Ogi: Mark him down as a hetero Ogas my sweet.
Ogas: Yep that's proof enough for me Ogi darling.
Ogi: No 58 next love.
Ogas: Oh yeh! Dirty bitch been watching Twighlight. Oh deary me.
.....can't imagine it going any other way tho.:tongue:

Going on their theory that men respond to visual stimuli ..
One of my friends on here once told me that he's never heard straight men object to the dick in porno - so the thing is, when you're turned on watching people have sex you might be happy to watch an erect cock anyway. I know it pleases me to see other people aroused whether they are male or female. However, if a straight man actually contemplates two men, kissing intimately for example - he may still be turned off.

Could be that we empathise with the male porno stars on the screen, and when we see their BIG hard dick being sucked, wanked, rode, despunked etc we feel what the male feels? That fit blond is doing it all to us?
But when we (if we were hetero) see two males kissing, 'we' cringe?
Should make sense shouldn't it? Nice n simple.
Doesn't tho. Not for all. Not even if you include empathising with the female. Damn!

A lot (maybe not all) men get aroused watching other aroused men associated with sex or the thought of sex or sexual pleasure. It's a biological drive - some of it is in the subconscious.. It's easier to become aroused if you see another person aroused - it's a lot easier to tell an aroused male because of the obvious bulge - as a matter of fact, I'm aroused right now just thinking about it. Oops, uh-oh - does that mean I'm female? Probably not - the study only looks at a few narrow dimensions of human behavior ..

Sep 27, 2013, 7:58 AM
yes elian i think ur right there, especially about the narrow dimensions they seem to be fixated on.
G, i think people cringe because they are just not used to seeing two men kiss, and the weight of cultural significance embedded in our straight programming by such a fact facilitates the response. this is why porn makes my toes curl. its both my issue, and its because im doing whats been programmed into me.
we cringe because we at once empathise with two men kissing as much as something inside tells us its wrong. we cringe as we imagine the thoughts of others who might witness us doing the same. we vicariously share the shame and wield the wanting.
others cringe because they cannot understand the creatures that they see and so take the easier line of destructive thought than of understanding. a bit like children stepping on ants.
"lord forgive them, for they do not know what they do"
(choir music, gregorian chants).
u do not punish the kids to save the ants. u educate them to love the ants (and hate the spiders)
no i dont want to have sex with ants. neither do i want to pour boiling water over men...er..many men.

@Elian -Arousal is arousing.:) Can't beat a bloke for expressing arousal can we?lol A nice aroused bulge can put you into 'sex mode' just by being there. You know what's on his mind. Gay porn should be a bonanza of that for hetero males too, and lesbian porn should at least ring a bell for gay males on the arousal front?
How many dimensions do we have in Human behaviour?....awkward buguz that we are.

@Dafydd- It's amazing what a pink frilly umbrella can do in the hands of a bloke. Shows how very odd and very effective this 'straight programming' really is. I've borrowed my daughters brolly out of mischief and took to the 'straight streets'. It was pink, it was frilly and it was very WRONG! It wasn't viewed as just a tool to keep me dry, but an offence against 'something'. Admittedly it was used as an offence too.lol
No other bloke wanted anything to do with my brolly. They didn't want to borrow it to keep them dry etc, and they were a bit wary of me too. I may as well have been snogging a bloke.
Isn't that kinda scary? Why do we have this programming, and what good does it do anybody?
Makes you wonder what other really stupid things we just accept and let it effect our thinking. These destructive judgements in our conditioning are pretty much a prison that's kept us safe from what?
Or is it just destructive for destruction's sake?:eek2: I remember my ant & magnifying glass phase, gave me joy having all that power.:yikes2:
