just wondering if anyone knows how I can make money online or at home doing anything (legal) without having to pay to get started at it?

EBAY :-) perfect way to get rid of unwanted stuff and things you never use anymore (or hate and don't know why you still have it lol)

You do have to pay a small fee to list the items but Ebay is always a good way to make money off things you don't need around the house. (Clear up some room.)

A friend of mine made pretty good money getting things cheap at yard sales and selling them off of ebay.

Good advice Reprob.... A lot of people do that then sell it for a bit higher on ebay... especially if you found an Antique thats worth A LOT MORE than it was priced at the yard sale.

I know PartyLite Candles and Gifts costs no money to join.
And what about Avon, Tupperware, Papered Chef, Princess House, Stuff like that. I'm not sure how much it would cost to join one of those, but it's definately something you can do from home. :2cents:

I read an article in the newspaper recently where this has become a new stay at home business venture for many people. They go out and find deals at yard sales then list them on Ebay for a lot more. Also there is some kind of celular service that will help you get value's to things you find so you can see if they are worth the price before you buy. Some have gotten good at talking down prices for things of value because the seller was desperate or didn't know what they really had. That part I find a bit sad. The people interviewed averaged $800 up per month in income for the things they sold on Ebay.

While Ebay is good, you still have to be be careful not to open ANY fake emails from ebay... no matter how real it sounds.....

and of course theres fake bidders (poeple who bid but have no plans to pay for it) I haven't sold anything n Ebay since December :-) I am finidng books I don;t want anymore so Ill be back on ebay lol

I have already done tupperware in the past and i spent more on buy things to show than what i actually sold. this is a small town and not alot of people have much money so party lite wouldnt fly either. thanks though. :)

It definately looks like the internet would be the path for you then.

I actually do know someone who makes $ buying yard sale items, cleaning them up and selling them on e-bay, but he does not make enough to quit his "day job".

Be careful Mrs. Taz - there are allot of "make money from home" scams out there. We also would like to work from home (im going to open a photography business) and have looked into quite a few ideas. The more reputable ones seem to involve buying and selling items.

I would advise being really careful about stuffing envelopes, medical billing/coding, etc. Most of those are scams where there really isn't a good opportunity to make enough $ to recoup your initial costs.

I know taz, but neveen said there was one that someone she knows is doing and making good money at that didnt have to pay a dime to start. I am still trying to find out what that one is.

Hmm...funny coincidence. I was just on Ioffer.com looking at cell phones just for the halibut and saw a few ads for an online store that they set up for you and you sell phone plans and satellite stuff from home. It only costs $50 to join.

I know it sounds a bit like a scam but it couldn't hurt to check it out.

If you have a skill, you can make money without paying any price. Otherwise, only buy low and sell high to make the difference

Friend of mine did this. She did extreme coupon cutting and drove all over on big ticket items...detergents etc. Then sold them at 50% off full price on ebay plus shipping...or sold to local groups at discount...they won, she won and it was invisible income to taxing bureaus

DO you have any skills to teach ?

When my old company closed, I was teaching guitar to kids and some adults, all under the table. I have friends currently that make masks and Christmas decorations

Interesting. I've always wanted to have a guitar-playing CD gurlfriend -- we'd have plenty of fun playing together under the table... ;)

Also, if you have strong wifi and are an english teacher, I believe China, Japan etc, employ online tutors to help their kids with english...primarily making it conversational. Online tutoring might not be tons of money, but you can create your own schedule to bend around your time.
