Having never transfered a link before I don't know if it's going to work. This survey has signigicant content for bi and lesbian woman.

It's really quite annonymous so you don't have to worry about being outed.

The wording on a few of the questions was a bit odd for me, but it's a good survey.

Thanks for passing this one on, herbwoman!

I think some of the questions at the beginning were a bit broad to be answered with a yes/no! Also, there were some questions, like " Individuals should be free to enter into marriage with another same-sex consenting adult because God created all people and does not make mistakes", which imply that every test-taker has religious affiliations, which I didn't like much.

That said, it's a good survey with a positive purpose (I hope).

Nothing pisses me off more than the statement, "bisexual men are just coming to grips with their actual gay identities". I'm not usually inclined to violence, but I would beat the living crap out of anyone who had the nerve to say that to me.

Yeah, Ophelia. I guess we must have been the only ones who missed the memo about the conclusive proof that God exists. What a bizarre question for a scientific study.

I took it.

You have to remember that they are trying to get a responce by ask hard questions. Kinsey, Master& Johnsons used the same style of questions in there reasearch.

Oh, I know. I'm not mad at them posing the question, but it's hard to avoid the feelings that the question usually triggers in you.

That's specific though. Any good survey on a contentious issue (strong opinions by different people both ways) will have questions written to cater to both groups and a few down the middle.

For one, it prevents bias; after the report is published, no one can say the questions were formed to skew the results. I'll bet there were about as many questions you really liked as ones you really didn't.

Furthermore, it gives you a qualifiable gist of the socio-political leanins of the survey takers.

For example, you might put a survey like this in a state like Louisiana which has a well established Democratic party, but a very conservative one at that. Asking people their political leanings (liberal/conservative) in local areas, and people will have subjective definitions of liberal and conservative. For example, "liberal" in Louisiana is very different from "liberal" in Manhattan. However, judging a person's liberal/conservative political leaning is much more objective by examining how they respond to "bisexual men are just coming to grips with their actual gay identities".

I took it as well. :2cents:

It kind of threw me off that they asked what college I attend, though...

Exactly. I would beat the living crap out of anyone who said a lot of things on there, especially the questions about "values". I hate it when the Religious Right uses "values" as another word for "hate". :soapbox:

At best, it's a code word for exclusion and circling the wagons around a myth of a world that never was. Which is a prelude to hate. At worst, it is unvarnished hate. On the other hand, a chick is just as much a chicken as its adult counterpart.
What was my point again?
