Hey gang,
I'm feeling anxious and needed to see if anyone else has gone through this. Based on some lab results my Dr has me scheduled for a colonoscopy on Tuesday to check things out. While I have been curious about how the male g/p-spot is in our ass, I'm not sure a colonoscopy is remotely pleasurable.
How did you deal with it?
Thanks for your insight, support, etc.

I'm 65, had my first colonoscopy in my early 40s and have now had four or five. You will most assuredly be mildly sedated (so you don't squirm and hurt something) and won't remember it at all. No big deal, really!

The only difficult thing about it is the prep. Sedation makes the procedure a breeze. I've had two and don't remember either.

Buy both Depends and incontinence pads for your bed. Just in case.

Ive had three so far. One of those was without sedation, and it was not pleasurable at all.
As long as you are healthy enough for anesthesia, the prep is the worst part!

I'm due for one too before the end of the year. Everyone above is correct. The prep may involved drinking a relatively large amount of solution meant to empty you out so they can see. As the procedure starts you will be given a drug that will put you out for the most part but the drug makes you not care what's happening. You also can't form memories while under so you won't recall anything until they bring you back up.

The procedure was a breeze! Thanks again everyone for putting my mind at ease.

Except for people like me, I almost never even take an asprin, I prefer natural remedy first. Because of this, a tylenol PM, honestly knocks me out for 12 hours. After my colonoscopy, I was loopy and punch drunk from 11am to about 7:30pm, it was not a pretty sight
