Pineapple on Pizza? On its own??? My daughters like Pizza and me family eat 2 much of it... It isn't something I'd choose. Serpently not thick crust!! I'm not a fan...
Go shopping.. I did this morning and afternoon. Mixture of Xmas pressies, a wee something for me younger daughter and new gear for moi. Buying stuff always relieves boredom!!
Yep.. The answer has 2 b no!!!

And the proper answer is hell noPineapple on pizza has to go with ham (and preferably a few other items), not just on its own. Fun fact - "Hawaiian" pizza was invented just down the road from where I live. Anyway - given the additions I suggest I would say definitely "yes".

Scottish pizza - I'd agree with you (and I've eaten my fill over the years). German pizza is even less... good. Windsor (Ontario, Canada) pizza - whole 'nother thing and quite wonderful. Still, definitely to be eaten in moderation regardless.
A little "shopping therapy" can definitely be a lift sometimes.

Yes. Tacos! I'm not a pizza snob so, yeah, I'd eat a slice of "Hawaiian" pizza because pineapple and ham go well together and you need the sweet tartness of pineapple to cut through the fat and richness of the pizza. Just don't even think about putting anchovies on my pizza! People flip out over pineapple on pizza... but not fish on pizza. Still, give me a meat-lovers pizza - thin crust - and I'm good! A dozen of tacos would work, too.

Another Pizza "Sacrilege" is Hamburger Pizza. :eek2: Let's see, Hamburger Meat, Lettuce, slices of Tomato, Onions and of course American Cheese. (Which isn't real cheese to begin with.) Bleechk

There are quite a few local variants of "pizza" I've encountered in different areas of Europe. Crusts have different consistencies etc. but the biggest changes are in some toppings that one would never see in N. America. Sweet corn? Some of it is "interesting" and some just... not good.

You should try pineapple and saurkraut on pizza. Sounds crazy but I does work. On occasion not all the time.

We have a cheese burger pizza here in NZ....heavy on the american cheese topping which gives it the flavour of a McDs big mac........
As for pineapple on pizza, I do not eat pineapple, so I will remain neutral on the debate, if others eat it, then bon appetite....
I prefer meat lovers myself, thick crust.....we have thin crust/ thin base, thick crust/ thin base, thick crust / thick base and cheesy crust from places like dominos and pizza hut....but the best one is a wood oven fired pizza at a bar called dolces... crust so thin its a knife and fork job unless you want the topping in your lap when you try to pick up a slice......

Try med thick crust, sauce, Canadian bacon, cheese, chucked pineapple on top bake very devious. It sounds crazy until you have it.
My personal favorite Chicago Style meat. 1 piece will fill me up. I can get 2-3 meals/snaking.

I agree, lots of pepperoni and sausage (do I sense a theme there...?). "meat-lovers pizza"? That could be most of the people on this site. Hahaha

I too love haggis, but am struggling to imagine it on pizza (is that how they do it?). Tomato sauce, cheese and haggis?

Pineapple? On pizza? Yeah, ok. Maybe have even tried it before. I LOVE fresh pineapple, so wouldn't be put off at all by it. Don't think of it as a great match though.
I'd aver that anything I like to eat, I could enjoy on pizza. And the opposite is also probably true, as well. If I don't like the taste of something, it's not going to be any better.
The one pizza I had that I absolutely hated had anchovies on it. Tried picking them off, but the taste permeated the pizza goodness. Never again!

Haggis. Tried it once - and on a dare - during a business trip to the UK. Amazing that people actually enjoy it and here I thought that there was nothing worse than eating liver. Talk about an acquired taste. I don't doubt that there's a haggis pizza but, okay, you can have my slice. I'm good, thanks.

To make a haggis edible it has to be properly seasoned. I've had a few haggis in my life which were appalling and inedible. To make a decision on any foodstuff we need to try it more than once from a variety of outlets. The best Haggis are produced by proper butchers, though surprisingly two German supermarkets in the UK sell very good Haggis.
One thing I enjoy, especially on a summer evening is chippie Haggis supper (deep Fried Haggis in batter and chips) sprinkled with salt, vinegar and chippie sauce!!. Frantabulous, but not too often now..like any chip shop food it will put on the pounds if munched too frequently.

Haggis... makes me glad that my doctor stopped me from eating organ meats. Whew. Y'all are some brave folks. Not hating at all.
