Has there ever been someone in your life who has graced you with their presence only to leave you feeling haunted for the remainder of your days? Have you ever met someone who has taken your breath away but due to circumstance, fear or confusion you were able to do no more than love them from afar? If there was a song that captured all that you felt and you could dedicate it to them anonymously, what would that song be?
For some time now my soul hasn't been able to shake the presence of a young woman I met while in college. It was a confusing time for me yet exciting and I will never forget her. Yes, I too know how you feel. It is both a pleasure and a heartache to love someone who for any number of reasons can not truely return your love. And I am not always speaking of physical love, for I know I love so many people in my life, even though I am madly in love with my dearest husband. For me, music does play an important role in love, as I most often equate a some to each love, and hearing that special song always makes my heart yearn for them.

I, too, know how you feel. Time does help, but the shadow of their presence never fully fades. Sometimes love is as much about timing as about attraction. I recently heard again the song "No One Is To Blame" by Howard Jones and it made me think of this lovely red-headed lady.
