I'm sure that many of you have heard of Tom Robinson before but he is like one of the only bi musicians that I have found. He considered himself to be 'gay' until he met a woman in the 90s (I think) and now he is a strong campaigner/supporter of bi rights/issues awareness and he has even started a bi themed website (http://www.bothways.com/).
His music is pretty cool and most of it can actually be downloaded free of charge from his website (http://www.tomrobinson.com/records/music/index.htm) ... only his later albums are bi-themed. His early stuff is pretty cool (especially 'glad to be gay' and '2-4-6-8 Motorway'). I mean, you've probably all heard of him before but I could find nothing about him on the forum but I think he's pretty cool and the only musician that I've found who sings about bisexuality

Thanks for pointing that out to me, didn't notice it before.... I didn't know that Tom is a member - Very cool. Sorry, I kind of feel a bit stupid for stating the obvious as everyone on the site seems to have already heard about Tom's site and music already.

Izzfan Not at all - no need to apologize at all. Actually he hasn't visited since March when his name last came up. It was just my way of encouraging everyone to use the rating and comment system we have on The Bi Web since it is under-utilized. :)

He done 2468 motorway, blimy. "She's a Star" by James could be about a bi woman though I doubt it.

Yeah, '2-4-6-8 Motorway' is a cool song other good songs by Tom include: 'Rum Thunderbird' (a very bisexual song about a [most likely straight] bloke who gets wasted and wants to sleep with his friend), 'living in the DDR', 'Cold Cold Ground', 'glad to be gay', 'alright jack' and 'power in the darkness'. I'm trying to think of any more songs about bisexuality... I dont think there are that many (I mean quite a few of the Lou Reed songs are about LGBT stuff 'walk on the wild side' and 'make up' spring instantly to mind but I think they are more about TG ppl and gay ppl than bi ppl) there really isn't much in the way of bi themed music lol.

Some music that I have in my collection that I figure can qualify as bisexual music includes:
Ani Difranco, especially "In & Out" and "Shameless")
Laya Fisher "Dick And Jane"
Magdalen Hsu-Li "Redefinition"
Rachael Sage
Skott Freedman
Army Of Lovers
"AC-DC", original by The Sweet, covered by Joan Jett
Grace Jones
Sophie B. Hawkins
REM - especially "King Of Comedy" with the line "I'm straight, I'm queer, I'm bi"
Me'Shell Ndegeocello
Dusty Springfield
Living Colour "Bi"
Janis Joplin
Peaches
Das Pop "Bye Bisexual Boy"
The Wet Spots
and, I would guess, various songs from Queen :)

Marc Bolan (who was bi) of T. Rex fame did a song Hippie Gumbo early in his career (1967 or so). The song concerned a bad relationship with an older male lover.

Yes the Bi-web area is under-utulized.
As for Tom Robinsion, since the late 70's i have loved his music.
Someone with that much talent had to be Bi and not just gay.
I hope we hear from him soon. :flag3:

Is glad to be gay the "shout it if you're glad to be gay" or something along those lines? Not sure how the gay people on here would regard the talent comment by the way :tong:
