While discussing my sexual preferences with a couple that the wife and I were considering playing with, the male half of the couple said that I was a "true bisexual".

I enjoy kissing and giving oral to either sex. I am more dominant while having sex with woman, while being a completely submissive bottom when I am with men.

He says that means that I am a "True BiSexual".

So, I was wondering what everyone else thought.

Am I a "True BiSexual"? What is a "True Bisexual"? Are You a "True Bisexual"? :color: :male: :female:

I personally don't think that there is such a thing as a "true" bisexual. As has been said before, we are a highly varied group here, and no one person's experience is more valid or "true" than another's.

"True Bisexual" is his term, I dont think anyone here would bother differentiating a "true bisexual" from a "false bisexual". But for the sake of the topic, under his definition of a "true bisexual", yes i would consider myself in that category

I've been told that's what I am since I can have sex and fall in love with both men and women. But I'd venture to say that everyone that is bisexual is a "true" bisexual.

Ah, I find the concept of a 'True Bisexual' to be very annoying and an impossible standard. However, whenever I tell anyone that I am Bi, they always measure me by this standard and go "Oh, you're not biseuxal, youre gay"... this annoys me somewhat, to put it lightly (I was considering starting a thread on this). This happened a couple of days ago and someone said "oh, I know a 'true bisexual' she has had several relationships with boys and girls". Its annoying because it is an impossible standard to keep up to and it is very restricting....eg: you've just had sex with a bloke so now you have to go out and find a woman to shag in order to 'stay bisexual'....its stupid. I mean, I have only been with blokes so far in my life but I am not totally shutting out the idea of sleeping with a woman and I often find women attractive...so, therefore I consider myself bisexual. But I REALLY hate it when people say that I am "Not really bisexual"...I think I know my own sexuality better than they do.

I am more bisexual than thou!

Just kidding. I don't play those games. I was once told by a support group facilator that you had to admit the possibity of "falling in love" with each gender to be a true bisexual. I don't agree. In that case what would you call the rest of the people! PLEASE!

If you like it, you are a bisexual. You are not truer or less true than anyone.

the term * true bisexual * refers to a person that shows more than just sexual contact with both males and females

it refers to people that are one step back from being a hermaphrodite...but are separate from mainstream bisexuals in the fact that they display the traits of both sexes in body, mind, emotions and sexuality
( male / female personalities that both play a role in the persons life.... both personalities are the same person....but like north and south )

the term came about to define the difference between people that use the term * bisexual * to define people that can have sex with both sexes, and * true bisexuals * or people that display strong masculine / feminine traits in more areas than just sexuality

the terms * gay. straight gay and feminine gay * are used to define the different aspects of gay lifestyles

a hermaphodite is a *true bisexual * in the body sense,as they possess both sexual organs

common signs of * true bisexuality * is the following....( the * true bisexual * will show the traits of the opposite sex as well as the traits associated with their own gender )

hairlessness....a male is most likely to have soft smooth hairless skin, except in areas common to both sexes, ie pubic, underarm, head and LIMITED facial hair.. females can have more body hair over areas not normally found in females, Ie back, chest, arms

emotions.... a male is more likely to show a softer, more *fragile * nature.. and be more inclined to express emotions ...a female may be more closed / less emotional, and dominant / aggressive..

mentally.... a male can show traits of multi tasking, management etc....a female can show traits of leadership and control

internally, a male can show traits associated with a ladies monthly cycle... IE cramps, period like pains, mood swings. etc.... the lady may not be affected as much by the same things

sexually the male is dominant during sex with ladies, but becomes submissive and more expressive during sex with males...IE taking the female role and * becoming * the female in a visible sense.... the female can be the sub /dom with a male and with the female....

Actually, I don't like or use the term Bi-Sexual. I think that when someone uses the term "true Bi-Sexual", they are refering to someone open to both sexual and emotional relationships with both guys and gals. Personally, I prefer to just say Bi. The term Bi could be used bye anyone finding themselves in the wide spectrum of bisexuality, whether it's just sexual, or sexual and emotional. - Dave(where IS my Brothers label maker?)
