Yes, I consider emotions worse than actually having sexual contact with another person.

If your partner does not (for what ever reason) want to have sex and you satisfy your self no this is not cheating.

I would have to ask if you chose to do this than be with your partner.

Excellent post!!! Great questions!! The trouble is, it's all relative (not your sister). I do NOT want to be tied at the hip to my wife and she knew that many years ago when we were married. Many people think that being married means giving up yourself (who you are) to become one with your spouse. I want to be as close to my wife as TWO people can be but will always need time to myself.

My own ideas on the subject...Porn/wanking is not cheating
Cyber is cheating
Phone sex is cheating
Fantasizing is not cheating

I don't know how I could say someone who fantasized about it a cheater. They can't help it. Why is cyber and phone sex cheating but porn not? I guess I liken porn to fantasizing, and cyber and phone is done with a willing responsive individual.

Porn... its not cheating.....you are a voyeur..... its just another form of admiration of the human body..

Cyber....its cheating... if you are actively using another person to engage in forms of sexual activities without your partners knowledge

Phone sex .... same principal as cyber

Fantasizing .... thats a hard one.....if fantasizing is cheating, then a married couple role playing could be classed as cheating, as its creating a atmosphere outside of the normal activites of the bedroom

i tend to see cheating as the act of fulfillment of your own desires over the needs and wants of your partner....
for example... you wake with a hardon, and ya partner doesn't wanna know about it.... you get up go next door and fuck the neighbour..... I regard that as cheating....

example #2 you wake with a hardon, and ya partner doesn't wanna know about it.... you ask if they mind if you *spank the monkey * and they say no they do not mind....you head to the shower but instead, jump online and cyber somebody while ya partner is still in bed.... its cheating

Perhaps then cheating is any action you have not 'cleared' with relevant others because only they in the end can tell you what is at their expense.

so no action can be considered 'cheating' with out knowing the relationship

i think cheating for the individuals of a couple to talk about and determine for themselves

for flex an me i think that cheating would be violating agreements that we've made together without taking the time to make another agreement
