Just wondering if anyone else is having this problem....I can't seem to get any sound on the youtube links that keep getting posted!

Frustrating....

I am somewhat of a puter geek....tried all kids of things to resolve it....but haven't been able to yet.

Anyone got any ideas on what to try?

Drivers are updated.
Settings seem fine.
Sound works everywhere else.
Wavemapper in registry is as it should be.
Audio in Control Panel is set right.

Have WinXP Pro, IE7, ADSL

Did you check to see if the vid itself on YouTube has the speaker on??

I don't have speakers so I don't know :( Stupid ex STOLE my speakers. :(

Yep. Checked the speaker on the vid. And the speakers here. And the volume here.

Sounds works fine on things like news videos...just not YouTube...or any other "tube" for that matter! :(

I have had this issue at times....

the format of sound for youtude is mp3 format..... what may be happening is that the media player you are using to view youtube vids is not directing the sound output

what program do you use for your music.....

you can try making it the default player for youtude vids, if you download a youtube vid and try playing it on you computer instead of online
you would need to test the file association settings until you have sound

YouTube apparently uses the flash player for the vids....and they can't be downloaded...that would have been a good workaround...if it woulda worked lol
