Another member (genera101.2) and I will be in Vegas end of Oct/Early Nov , and we're wondering if anyone else wants to hang out with us... I guess I was thinking of just meeting as a group for dinner, then splitting up to do...well whatever.

Or meeting for dinner, and taking in a show (as a group) or just killing time togehter.

This would be a very important thing for us as a community, IMHO - - giving a chance to bond beyond our profiles, to meet and unplug as real people, and hang out with other bisexuals. . .how exiting would that be?

I will be coming back to to this thread daily for updates, and to post further information as need be.

Don't hesitate to PM me if you have any questions, I'll try to answer them as best as I can manage, and don't hesitate to band together to make your own arrangements for hotels/flights/etc. This just as much for US (as a group) as it is for "me".

Thanks... it's gonna be hard work pulling it all together, but I think the end result will be VERY rewarding...

I've gotten some tenative yes's from a couple people already , so I think it won't be just the two of us having a drink.

This is good timing for us. Once we have exact dates in mind i'll work out a babysitter. Hubby has a birthday on 11/3 so it's a good excuse for a grown up trip.

Depending on work issues, ( I definitely have issues at the moment), I would attend. But, seems like an (almost) all female get together as of now. While I like women, where would that leave me? I need the companionship, understanding and presence of bisexual guys, as well as women.

Will do. There are other members that I have talked to privately that have stated that they would like to go...bringing it to around 10, tenatively.

I'm starting to look at hotels. I'm leaning towards something central on the strip (Excalibur, Tropicana) or possibly the gay centered resort, New Moon.

We can also discuss any group activities we'd like to do . . .

One suggestion I have is meeting for martinis at Red Square @ Mandalay Bay then going on a show ( I hear Thunder from Down Under is good ;) ).

Anyone else with ideas?

The original idea is to spend Saturday through Monday, but we could do a Friday through Monday. We have some ideas on places to go and things to do but if others have suggestions on things to do it would be great. We can discuss sharing rooms for costs or if people want separate rooms then maybe rooms near each other. Traveling together to save on taxi fares and other things I guess. Lets get the ideas going. :bibounce:

Regarding meeting, we could have a bi flag on a table to identify us, could be fun.

Friday through Monday would be great, allowing some flexibility in plans, in that some people can be here Friday-Sunday or Sat-Monday without feeling rushed, or like they are missing people. On the down side, it might be a touch more expensive. . .but probably well worth it.

Not sure about the bi flag on the table, but then again . . . As a friend of mine says, God isn't watching in Vegas. ;)

Now that the date has been set, we can start the fun part. . .

Activities....

Seeing the show Zumanity (http://www.zumanity.com/) @ New York New York has come up in discussion with members that are interested in going. Looking at the website, I could see interest in that and I think a group trip would be great.

I know there are other suggestions that are brewing( Visit to the Hoover Dam (http://www.alllasvegastours.com/Body.asp?mode=135&Page=SearchByModeCity&Type=LA&TY=LA&SearchName=Hoover+Dam+Bus&eType=Activities&pref=02&aid=ltg1035&gclid=CM2ct4y55IwCFQhaZQodkHqO6w), Maybe the Palomino (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palomino_Club_(Las_Vegas)) or even the green door (http://www.greendoorlasvegas.com/index.php)).

So, if anyone else has any ideas, please let me know. Not all activities have to be group activities, but I'd like to see us make ONE activity as a group.

Hoover Dam is real cool - the tour through it was super (7 years ago), Hard Rock Vegas, a little gamblin at the MGM Grand or the Circus Circus or ......
I will look at some of the other thing of interest on the web and comment and post later.
However - the earlier things are confirmed and locked in the better (and sometimes less expensive).

This brings the total to 12-13, not counting SO's and any others who may be bringing an entourage. If you still want in, it's not too late. Either post in the thread or PM me. (Pweese sticky, Drew?)

Some of the hotels I have looked at that have been pretty reasonable (going by pricing through the hotel site itself AND orbitz.com. Remember, I'm coming from Ft. Lauderdale/Miami, one of the further points on the CONUS from LV) have been Four Queens (http://www.fourqueens.com/),which is right by the Fremont Street Experience and downtown LV. Another good choice (though the reviews have been iffy) has been Circus Circus (http://www.circuscircus.com/).

I'll call each hotel as well as E-mail angrybych to see if we can land a group rate or at least reserve a block of rooms.

Just a question of, which hotel?

I know people wanted to know about group rates.

The threshold for group rates is 10 rooms- - this goes for both hotels, and I have a feeling this is a general rule of thumb.

I'm not sure we have enough people for 10 rooms.

BUT- -

I know I missed some people on the count, and I also want to set a deadline.

If you want to go to Vegas, I have to know by July 15th. No if's, no and's, no excuses.

Let me know by Private Messaging Me (http://main.bisexual.com/forum/private.php?do=newpm&u=37189) or posting in this thread. Just a passing 'yes' in chat is no longer going to do.

I want to make this the best experience possible.

Alright. . . after some consideration, I have come to the only logistical conclusion for a group like this one:All attendees are responsible for their own lodging.

Its easier and that way, everyone can stay at the hotel of their choosing ('cause I know some people have Frequent Flyer points and such).

But I will still be taking a count. . .if we want to meet up at a restaurant and have dinner as a group, or any other activity.

Speaking of which...are there any suggestions for where we would like to eat or spend time as a group?

I'm willing to take the risk on Circus Circus if there is a group decision to do such, bad reviews aside. Besides, there's a freaking theme park right there! $60 a night seems worth it, too.

Actually, Circus Circus was under $50 / night on AA.COM - I think Hilton or Hampton was around $125/night - others around $180 and up.
I used airmiles for the ticket so $5 total (one of the perks in traveling for a living.

I might  even intertain the idea of someone spliting the cost on a room with me :male: or :female: .

Damn - when I saw the price originally on AA.com when I booked my flight - It must have been a special or something - now I only pull up $132 - and others NOT on the strip but within 1-4 miles under $100
I can't seem to locate anything for what I saw that night when I booked my flight, sorry :disgust:

So I have not booked anythng myself at this point. I think that if peeps will start pm'ing one another and start discussing this seriously - try to share expenses of a room - hey, the hotels DO have rooms with doubles (two beds) so it's not like you have to sleep with your roomie or you can if you choose.

Prices are only going to get higher as time goes on.

I will book my hotel sometime this week. If you want to share a room, CONTACT ME before Thursday. Take a look at where you might like to stay and talk to me.

As I said previously, I may rent a car for the stay as well and that could be instrumental in the location of the hotel I/we get.

I am comitted to this trip and I am planning on having a good time  - and I hope you are too.

:2cents: about Vegas....

I went to Vegas last year for my 40th bday and it was a blast. I know you all have been talking about hotels a lot and such and I am not sure if you all have plans set yet BUT...The 3 things about Vegas that I recomend are:

Stratosphere Hotel - there is a 'Euro style' (topless) pool on top of the 24th floor. It's not advertised in their documentation, you just need to know about it. I had never done that before and I loved it :)

Olympic Gardens - best strip club in vegas...my friend referes to it as "the Costco of boobs"...hmmmmm, yeah, hehe.....

The Buffet at Bellagio - some of the best buffet food

atmosphere. Basically parties hosted random nights of the week. But as long
as you think you'll be alright with that you are more than welcome to join
us!"

Sounds perfect! Did I mention the hot tub?

:2cents: about Vegas....

I went to Vegas last year for my 40th bday and it was a blast. I know you all have been talking about hotels a lot and such and I am not sure if you all have plans set yet BUT...The 3 things about Vegas that I recomend are:

Stratosphere Hotel - there is a 'Euro style' (topless) pool on top of the 24th floor. It's not advertised in their documentation, you just need to know about it. I had never done that before and I loved it :)

Olympic Gardens - best strip club in vegas...my friend referes to it as "the Costco of boobs"...hmmmmm, yeah, hehe.....
http://affiliate.genesisentertainmentinc.com/olympic-gardens-las-vegas-strip-club-bachelorette-party.html

The Buffet at Bellagio - some of the best buffet food

Hope you all have a freakin blast!!!

Great Ideas, H_G!

I have a feeling there'll be two out of three of this done... as for pictures. . .we'll see.

EtA: It was also pointed out to me that if some of you want to meet up with the locals... you can start here - - For What it's worth (http://www.thecenterlv.com/Center%20Information/Center%20Information1.htm).

Going to Vegas in August.. so I can't make the timeframe to meet you all.. I am sure all of you will have a great time. We chose the Mirage. I love the White Tigers and the dolphin habitat.. and the Secret Garden, was there last year in May, we stayed at the MGM that time. MGM is at the end of the tram(or beginning depending on how you look at it..lol)... Mirage is right next to Caesars in the heart of the strip. so this will be something DIFFERENT. I am excited as I am sure all of you will be when you get the plans nailed down. We are also going to see Celine! This is her last year. I saw her in May of Last year, and the show was INTERESTING. I have determined stage shows and concerts are vastly different. My friend has never seen her so I got tickets for her again. Whatever you all do.. ENJOY.. Oh and we WILL be seeing Hoover Dam this time. The person I went with last year was COMPLETELY against that. I was there like 13 years ago and I want to go again..lol It is SO worth it!

I don’t know what took me so long to think about this, but for those going to Vegas I have used Tripres.com in the past and it has saved me a lot of money. Last time it saved me about $400 by buying my flight and reserving my hotel at the same time versus all of the other sites and travel agents I checked. I just checked for this trip and it still seems to be the cheapest for where I’m leaving from. Just something to check out.

I now would like to know what you all have in mind as a group activity. There's alot of fun to be had (both adult and non-adult) in Vegas. I admit I personally would like to get a visit to the Hoover Dam in, along with possibly hitting a strip club.

Any thoughts from anyone else?

I totally agree.
I will visit the Hover dam.
Also, I really want to meet you people. I have meet only I other from this site. I want to talk to you in person, share a little fun time together. I would like to see a show such as KÀ CIRQUE DU SOLEIL or another fun show, even better, if I am with some/all of you.

I am scheduled to arrive in Las Vegas at 10 AM from Detroit, Metro Airport. Also, I have reserved a full size rental car. So, if you arrive at about the same time maybe it would be possible to meet at the airport to take you to you hotel if you need transportation.

However, I do not know the logistics of doing this at that airport.

Another place genera and I have discussed is the Green Door, a swingers club (http://www.greendoorlasvegas.com/index.php) along with some of the strip clubs Hockey Girl mentioned in her post which included this link (http://affiliate.genesisentertainmentinc.com/palomino-strip-club-las-vegas-bachelor-party.html).

Some people have mentioned they are not down for the strip clubs... fine. But I guess I'd like to know who is and which ones they'd like to visit.

Hi, I lived in Vegas for awhile and partied there a lot. I would recommend AGAINST the Green Door. The Red Rooster, while further out, is the only swingers club to go to there. The others are not as clean, have lots of hookers, and way too many single guys. The Green Door in particular is very close to the strip and just not where you want to go. Not that much action. Red Rooster on the other hand, especially weekends, is great fun. Also the Olympic Garden is the best strip club in town, though not the largest or most famous, has good drinks, both male and female strippers, all the girls are hot and fun. I hope to join everyone there.

Not really Taylor. There are ways and there are ways.
I quote:

'What is the age group of the people at the parties?

The average age is 30 to 50 years old. We request that you are at least 25 years old to attend the parties.'

It is only a request - not a requirement. There are exceptions to all requests since you would only be 1 month away from 25 at the time.
If it were a 'couples party' - there would be plenty of men around you to pose as your partner.

Thus - no delima. :2cents:

Here are some other suggestions(thank Toad 82). . .I may start a poll in a couple of weeks.

Krave (http://www.kravelasvegas.com/main.asp) has been mentioned here once or twice, If anyone has been there before, it would be cool to hear some reviews on the place... the kind of music they play, any specials...

Freezone is suppose to be one of the better clubs. (http://www.freezonelv.com/) No cover and cheap drinks, almost always a plus. From the reviews may have the best staff and gets a lot of return business. Also could have the best drink deals in town. Some of the reviews I read said that Freezone is a great place to be during the day as well.

Other than Zumanity. . .there are other Vegas Standbys such as:

Penn And Teller
The Amazing Jonathan
The Blue Man Group

Seeing some art (the Bellagio Gallery) and other reliable classics (The Hoover Dam) are on the table.

We don't have to go all out EVERY night we are there... we could even take it down a notch, meet in someone's room and let things happen. And, we don't have to do EVERYTHING in a group either...but I would like at least ONE group activity for ALL of us.

I really welcome the PMs.... please keep them coming, and I'll publish the suggestions.
