Hi everyone,

I am posting this question here because I don't know where else to pose this question. A man I met on Friday night basically took his condom off and forced himself into me; I was drunk and he had me pinned down. I am terrified of getting HIV and want to know if there is any medical procedure that shields a person from HIV in the days after such an exposure. If anyone knows about it, or if anyone knows about how sexual assault assistance works in the Buffalo, NY area, I would be grateful. I can't tell anyone in my community about this. Please reply privately to my email, samsonlove@gmail.com.

This is a very serious post so I would appreciate it if people did not use this thread as a chance to flame me or anyone else, or get into unproductive debates.

Thanks,
J

Yes there is post exposure med you can take.
BUT you must start within 48 hours thats critical.
You basically need to take 1 months supply of the HAART coctail just as though you had the disease.
you must start right away!!!!!

There is no drug plan that will cover this cost for you though. That is only covered by people in the field exposed on the job,
THe meds will cost about $1000 or so for the month..
Go to a doctor NOW!!

Good luck to you..
