Well, I'm on bookface... sorry I mean facebook hehehe... but I can't say I'm addicted... It's just another way of keeping in touch with all my friends. :)

I'm *considering* joining. BUT... tbh... I like the anonymity of Myspace... I can just use a pseudonym and don't even have to tell people anything else if I don't want to. That said, I hear Facebook is much more secure, so I might give it a try.

I'm addicted to both Facebook and LiveJournal and there are lots of bi spaces on each. Even stuff like Bi Community News and The Fence have Facebook groups now!

LJ is definitely better for meaningful content -- Facebook's much more shallow, but it's better for admiring the eyecandy on other people's friends pages though!!

I'm addicted to Crackbook, too.

I considered going to a 12-step meeting, but they have several of those there already

the people on facebook are generally more open and honest about their identity but i think that comes from the feeling of a more safe environment. u don't get as much anonymity, but some of my friends don't put their full names on their account (e.g. j smith or john s). u can reveal as much or as little as u want, but i think the "addiction" comes into play when u can't stop adding info.

Facebook seems more intimate to me than MySpace. I like the little programs that come alone with it too like the naughty gifts and the Vampire nibbles ;)

I'm not quite addicted but it's fun!

I would like to check out Facebook--but you have to join it before you can check things out--I am pretty much into myspace and don't really feel like ditching Myspace to start up a new page on Facebook----

Ive been on both, and Iv got to say after switching to Facebook, there is no going back to MySpace. IMO, facebook is a much stabler, organised, professional looking website. It doesnt have the same slowness issues of Myspace, its so much more user friendly and it lets you control your infomation and who sees what more.

Plus in Canada Facebook dominates MySpace. It is by far the more popular website in Canada, so if you want to stay in contact with people up here, its the one to use

Ya,

On Facebook you can also create 2 profiles.

Limited Profile and Profile.

When you add people, you can control what they can see.

For example.....

Your family and friends can see all your infomation, see all your pics, read all your wall postings and so on.

BUT you want to add people that you may not know that well (etc, they are a friend of a friend or you met them on a message board or maybe its a friend you don't get along with that well anymore.)
Sooooooo you add THOSE people BUT only allow them to see your limited profile..
Which means they won't see everything your other friends can see.
Such as personal info or certain photo albums....etc

So in a way Facebook is a lot safer.

While Myspace, anyone can see anything. Facebook your more in control who sees what.

I'm a little addicted too. You do have to be a little careful about it though, because so many people can see so much about you. If you have a lot of personal information there, it's best not to accept many "friends" you don't know, some could be up to financial fraud. (I've had a small identity theft problem once and I'm pretty carefull about that now)

I expect that I'm not the only one who has 2 accounts there - one where in-laws, co-workers, potential empolyers, people from the small town I'm from and so on can find me and where I'm only friends with people I know personally, and one with a different name and no photos, no employment information, etc. where I can belong to groups I wouldn't want my in-laws to know about, :) and where I can safely make friends with people I don't actually know.
Maybe some people will see that as smart, and others as dishonest, but it's what I do.
