But this time, one of his followers gets interviewed on Fox News (which I don't particularly care for myself, but this reporter is AWESOME!!!) KUDOS to her!

Its not easy to stand and debate a religious zealots like that, and I think Julie Banderas did a fabulous job !

She's HOT. And I don't just mean that in a "nice piece of ass" kinda way.

Seriously though, if y'all wanted to pool together and buy her a big bunch of flowers, I could probably venture as far as to contribute something to the fund...

Wow!!! Does anyone have an idea about when this segment first aired??

I don't much care at all for FOX-News-but I am glad that they have finally decided to take up the cause to fight this aspect of the Phelps organization.

That no one had not taken up the cause of taking on and hopefully taking down Phelps and his crew since they are so virulently nasty about our soliders is a bit of a surprise--better late than never.

I am also glad that one of the families has taken civil action against the Phelps people----it will get nasty---but I hope that this family will prevail---if I had a family member who had died and been protested against--I think I would also file suit and get others to do so---filing suits in a half-dozen or so states at least would keep them busy legally and they would not be able to defend all of the cases themselves---the legal fees alone would have to begin to wear them down and if just one or a few cases are won--it would financially bankrupt them---and that would be the real goal----make them have to spend their time actually working instead of going off and spreading their bunk.

lol This guy is what happens when blood kin marries. But yes, the reported did a fabulous job of covering the story. She did it in a classy, sophisticated manner and I say Bravo to her!
This guy is laughable at best, but he is also aq dangerous zealot...:(
Just my 2 pennies worth.

So IYO is it worth watching or avoiding?

Probably worth watching at least once. If only to admire a... somewhat attractive woman ensuring that the Religious Right get as good as they give. It probably won't change your life though.

Shirley Phelps is beyond insanity, she is the thing that I hate about religion, about so called Christanity.

How dare this woman and her followers- who probably need to masturbate more and actuarly live a little, ever ever say disgusting things about someone at their funeral.

Omg that reporter is most certainly Hot. She kicked that smiling prozac induced slut to the ground.

This is exactly the type of rubbish that i hate to see in everyday life.

What is she on?? Clearly she's never heard of birth control. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shirley_Phelps-Roper

She really does belong to the Americans worst family. IF anything She alone should be put behind bars, and to serve a sentence in a woman's prison, whom she would share a cell with a very butch a very mean lesbian woman.

Oh the justice in my head...

I've never head of Fred Phelps but now im glad that i have so i can stay well clear of him and his abusive, hateful, disgusting clan.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fred_Phelps

Oh, I dunno... maybe she has a point? Maybe God really DOES "hate fags"? You've gotta admit that its *possible* isn't it?

Heh, at least if she ever gets assassinated by some pissed off soldier or homosexual, we can all say "Ah, but it was GOD taking REVENGE..."

FINALLY, a journalist that takes a stand against something truly vile and contemptible.

Big Kudos to her and shame on the WBC for perverting religion to promote hatred.

The mental agility above is appreciated for its intentions Skater but I doubt very much that any god hates fags or any kind of homosexual as a rule. After all, in the Judaeo-Christian faiths (to which our obnoxious lady belongs) God made man in his image and loves all of mankind?

Well, lets hope not... otherwise the vast majority of us here are gonna burn in hell when our 75+/- are up...

I think, Skater was impying that if the woman had a sticky end like her father then it would BE God's work.

That I was. Wouldn't it be ironic... nay, "poetic justice" in fact, were she assassinated and her funeral picketed by homosexuals chanting that her death was, in fact, divine retribution from God himself, for America's (or even Christianity's) tolerance of religious zealots.

awesome, julie just tore phelps a new ass-hole. You gotta love it when a news channel does something right for a change and this is my favourite televised thing about the phelpses. Just watching that nut job try to alabo-crazy her way out of the debate is hilarious. Julie should get the sugary treat of her choice, good show!

As much as I want to scream at them and grab the nearest object and bash out their skulls, and as much as it provokes the anger from getting judge for just being myself and the frustration that no matter what I say it will be twisted, provided that they close their mouth for a fraction of a moment for my voice to be physically be heard.... that would drop me down the their pitiful level...

Yet that gives me no satisfaction.

But, like what I've always said to my friends: If they're not 'Thumping the Bible' then they're 'Thumping their Cousins'

Actually, if I didn't think that I would get arrested for assault for doing it, I would do the following at their next protest:

There is a guy who makes a working, air-powered Gatling gun (like the guy used in the movie Predator) which fires paintballs (yes...I said Paintballs) at a rate of a few hundred rpm.

I would take it to their protest with a very large, full hopper of paintballs and open fire on the lot of them.

It wouldn't kill or harm any of them, but it would make me feel soooooo good.

But that would be assault and those idiots are not worth going to jail for. Not that a lot of people would be willing to convict me for it.

I think your reaction is first reaction to them is pretty much the same as many people--I know that is what I feel like too--but then for someone to do that--just would play into their hands---and it would make they victims and martyrs which is one thing you sure as hell don't want to make them!!!!

Better to respond to them like the Patriot Riders do---go to attention and do an "about face" and show them nothing but your backside since they are so full of bull manure-the only thing they know is an arse!!!
