I have tried this before but it did not work for some reason---on other sites I chat and such on---they have threads for people to post their favorite photos. I would like one on here. We have tried but it sorta died.
The best way to do it is not to actually post the photos here but post them to places like Photobucket.com, Flickr and Picassa photo galleries which all provide codes so you can post them elsewhere on the web.
I hope that everyone does not mind me tooting my horn a bit---but I just wanted to share some more photos I have taken along my travels in the past year:

Ok--I have done enough--for now--it's time for someone else to post up some pics----
I think I have pretty much covered the range of human activity---from drinking, smoking, fornicating and going to church, chilling out----sinnning on Saturday night and be in church on Sunday--"so I can sing and pray!!!"
If anyone is interested--I now have enogh photos in my data base that I am going to start putting together a display and put some of them on show along with some artwork--hopefully I might at least sell some photographs---the market for abstract art--at least when you are an uknown abstract artist is kind of tight right now--I wished I get a bit more well known---they just had an big abstract auction at Sotheby's in both London and New York not long ago and one painting went for something like $17 million or so!!!--I'd be happy if I could get something like a half a percent of that!!! LOL
I figure that a thread like this is a nice diversion from all of the divsive ones we have had of late!!!!

Well folks---had to post up one more set--this is of one lone subject---the Mother of God Catholic Church in Covington, Kentucky just across the Ohio from Cincy---this was late summer and there had been one of those fast moving evening thundershowers come through---then it ended and the sun came out with this rich, incredible light--I saw the spires of the church and had to pull out the camera and take photos of this gorgeous church:
http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r216/mpgarr/P1020561.jpg
I am showing some of the architectural features of the church which are incredible--made all the better by the wonderful quality of light:

Great photos 12v! I used to shoot allot of 35mm, and have been thinking about breaking down and buying a new digital SLR.
Very inspirational!

Glad that you all like the photos--I guess I will keep adding some more then---like I said---it was time to add something edifying to the boards and not negative...
Galatica---You have to get a digital camera--I used to use 35mm too and for a time I swore that I would never go digital---that was of course when a decent digital camera that could take really good pictures beyond a simple point and shoot was at least ten grand--but now that you can buy a really great digital cam for a thousand dollars or less----there is no reason not to get one. Many of the new point and shoot cams just coming out have large capacities in terms of megapixels--like ten or twelve MP--have face recognition techonologies, image stabilization, many auto modes and high powered digital and optical zoom capacity too. Many digi cams with these capabiities run in the $250 to $500 range in the stores and if you go to some of the online camera retailers---you can usually do far better with them bundled with other things you need like camera bags, tripods, extra memory cards, etc.
I do need a bigger and better computer though--I want to get the full-blown Photoshop CS3 and related editing software programs to enhance what is done with PS and of course--I will have to get a bigger flat screen monitor, color corrector and all kinds of stuff----it never ends the things we find to burn our money!!!!
I sure as hell don't miss having to develop my photos --all those nasty chemicals---and with digital--you can take photos to your hearts delight---and if you don't like the way it came out when you took it---just delete it---I have filled up a few memory cards but am now using a 4GB SDHC card and I can store almost 2000 JPEG photos set to highest quality and over a thousand photos saved in RAW + JPEG mode.
I love digital photography!!!

This boat was not made of wood--at least its external part was not-it is fiberglass--but it is a very good example of a very rare boat the Chris Craft boat company made in the late 1950's early 1960s time frame--there were only a handful made and a man from Columbus, Ohio owns this one--very cool 50s retro style:

This next set of photos comes from what I call "Cincinnati Nightlife" These photos are of some different bars and places around the Greater Cincinnati area---a few have already been posted.
More of the cool, retro neon signs from the Brass Ass strip club--at one time---the cities along the Ohio River across from Cincinnati were havens for organized crime--or "the mob" as they used to say--during a time during the sixties--other than the FBI Headquarters in Washington, DC--the next biggest field office of the FBI was located in Cincinnati with the express purpose of bringing down the mob--I am sure that this place played some role in that--during the day--it is just another drab commercial building--but at night--with all of the great neon---it looks very cool and it is possible to imagine a time when wise guys in shark skin suits with their hair slicked back hung in "joints" like this and did their business:

Awesome photos, Volty! I particularly liked the close up of the mule's face and the moon. And the cashier in the Johnny rocket's shot is kinda cute! :tong:
I'm curious to know what sort of digicam you actually use though... I have a Panasonic DMC-TZ3 (7.2MP), which I'm told is one of the better "point and shoot" models, but I doubt the quality compares to yours...
