I had a gf a few years back and she was SERIOUSLY into it. As a result, she had us trying everything under the sun, (and typically of her, we spent a LOT of time reading too)

Here is what we found.

The best depends on a few factors. From everything to your body ph to the level of your hydration. These variables can change the way any lubricant will behave in your body.

What we found was that the Foreplay gel deluxe was the number one choice.
Second choice was regular (blue top) Foreplay with J-lube powder mixed into it.
(An extremely messy lil cocktail LOL (no pun intended) but was the slickest most long lasting protection for her tail that we found.)

I'll say this once, and then I'm not going to argue or defend it, so listen up.

If you have anal sex, you NEED to use lubricant. Not oil, butter or anything otherwise edible. Astroglide is okay, it's got the greatest design (fabricated to slide molecule against molecule of lubricant, BUT.......it's too runny and doesn't fill gaps. I've been in situations where we used a LOT of AG and it still didn't give 100% protection for her. Choose a lube that is preferably water based. Oil based solutions can have the side effect of increasing bacterial growth, not to mention that they cause latex to break down. (and it breaks down much faster than you might think) Lotions are very bad in general, as they tend to not slide so well after a few strokes and this leads to microtears. (tiny little abrasions in your tail) Microtears and abrasions can lead to fissures which is a very bad thing.


Wet and ID lubes were also very good, but the foreplay brand is designed from the ground up to be better for your body. The Deluxe Gel has silicone in it AND aloe vera.

The cheapest is a can of J-Lube ob. powder, which you can get from vet. supply companies. 20$ will buy you a single bottle that will last you all year.

Be safe. Use good lube. Not only will your partner enjoy it more now, but they will suffer less side effects years down the line.
