Dear friends,
For those of you that may have family members (son's, daughters, etc), serving our Country in the Middle East, there is a way for you to send them letters of love and support.

It's free and easy to use. All you need to join is knowing the snail mail address of the person you wish to communicate with. Go to http://www.motomail.us/

Find the unit of your friend, or, loved one and you can email love and support.

There is also another way for you to support our troops. Go to http://penpalsforsoldiers.org. Penpals has no politcal agenda as an organizationother than giving love and support to the women and men who are in harms way.

As a Vietnam Veteran, letters from home gave me comfort. Please find the time to use motomail.us/ , or contactpenpalsforsoliders.org. As a Step father to a man that I call son, a United States Marine who calles me his second dad.

Please pray for the women and men who have stepped up to the plate to serve.

thanx sparks, i can attest to how welcome those letters are since i got quite a few during desert storm.

my employer being a defense contractor, we not only hand the army guys brand new gear, but we keep tabs on them while they are over there too. last 3 years running we sent over $10,000 in calling cards each year to our guys. that too is a big boost for them since they can call home much more often .

if you'd like to see more support links in addition to the ones sparks has provided, go to; www.strykernews.com and look down the right margin.. there
s tons of them, but the two he's provided are among the best.

thanx again sparks, i know we have a lot of caring people here , some who are veterans also.

You can also support those who came home missing limbs. The group that supports the USS Intrepid, the family of Avery Fisher, build Fisher Houses for families to be near their loved ones while they are gettin medical care.
They also support The Fallen Heroes Fund which is using private money to build a rehabilitation center for those who have lost their limbs. It will be operated by the VA and will be state of the art. You can support them by contributing at fallenheroesfund.org.
No matter what your opinion is about the war(s) we should support those who put their lives on the line to protect us.

Dear Bear,
Never forget the USS Cole either. My Uncle survived Pearl, aboard the USS Marland. My ship, the USS Tripoli (LPH10) serverd through the Vietnam conflict. She later served in the Gulf War and was struck by a mine. Although she survived the damage, she was later retiired and decommecioned.

Thank you for the Fallen Heroes Fund info. I plan to contribute.

Yes we should should support our tropps no matter our political view. I plan to do that. Nevertheless, the Bush agenda is sicking. The bottom line is "bring our troops home safely".

Take good care, Brother. Susan, Belle, sends you her best.

Fred
