Ok I have a debate going on with a friend and I don't know where to look for the answer.

If a guy is held off from orgasming by a cock ring or harness for a long long period of time does it cause any health issues? Like infections or long term effects?

If so how long can the guy go before health problems take effect?

if anyone can help me and link me to sources that would be awesome! thanks!

(don't ask how this came up cause even i'm not sure lol but now both of us are wondering)

Hopefully that cockring aint going on too tight, as cutting off blowflow will give more serious issues than not being able to cum...

I've fiddled with one off and on for years, and it's all still working fine down there.

well i mean keeping a harness on for a long period of time like more then just a day or two or three...like on for a while and not being able to release... kind of like a sub in a d/s relationship or something... i just wanna find out if there is any effects for say wearing it a weeks straight or something.

Stopping blood flow to any part of the body will eventually cause problems.

If a harness or ring is too tight, it would restrict blood flow and possibly do short term or depending on the situation long term damage, like others have mentioned. It would be like tying a string to the end of one of you're fingers and watching it swell etc., doesn't sound appealing...but some people like the "thrill" I guess.

if you slow of stop the blood flow long enuf, SOMETHING is going to fall of, then where will ya be! there is a reason evolution had always allowed adequate blood flow to ALL apendages

The biggest, scarriest rumor I ever heard is that it can make your penis "die."

Here's a source for better information.

I dont think a guy having a cock ring on thats too tight would be a good idea! I know a couple of sweeties that wear one, but not for any length of time. They wear it for playtime, then remove it later in the night. I dont know what you mean by harness, but it looks like any type of device would be removed after a while...
Good luck in your search Hon. :}

People use cock restrictors to maintain an erection. First vacuum so as to engorge the penis and then slip a rubber ring on at the base to maintain the pressure. However, there is attendant danger with too tight a ring that cutting off circualtion may occur and that if this lasts for any appreciable length of time, tissue damage may occur. There is also some risk of a thrombosis although the system is designed to work with blood engorgement.

Orgasm is still possible but ejaulation may (may) be prevented.

Some people are able to orgasm and prevent ejaculation without external pressure (may be detected as crossing of eyes and digits along with grimmace). Semen may then find its way into the bladder and residual plumbing. Flushing oneself afterwards is strongly advised (a good pee). However, with further micturition, there tends to be a residual smell of decaying semen (dead fish and cod pieces?) for a couple of days afterwards and this may be evident in the urine itself. It shouldn't do, but a feeling of mild inflammation may sometimes be felt in the kidney area. These side effects are not surprising as the little swimmers once activated are designed to find and stick on to things. If unsuccessful at fertilisation, they just rot.

Much better to allow ordinary ejaculation and if erectile dysfunction is a problem then viagra might be a better route.

That said it can still be quite a pleasure having one's genitalia tied up and used for suspension and / or whipping but do make sure that medical aid and a good lawyer are available (police prosecution in the UK of consensual sadomasochists 1990's I believe).

excellent posting Heph.

to the OP: 20-30 minutes MAX (that's a medical fact).

I also would recommend Viagra, Cialis or Caverject instead.

Note: it doesn't hurt: there are no nerves in the shaft of the penis. Always check with your Dr. to make sure it is safe for you to use the abovementioned.
