Hi Drew and All,

I'd actually be curious to hear why Tom got the big ban hammer dropped on him again. I find a lot of what he posts interesting/entertaining, so its unfortunate everything he posted as Quintus was cleared out. Is he just permanently booted now?

Intelligent conversation is hard to find. Its worth keeping those around who are up to it, even if the source is sometimes a pain in the ass

I think we have to blame that one asshole who kept on making threads about him being a troll. I'm to presume he went to complain to admin. Either that or his last thread was the "last straw".

Funny how we can speak freely about sex toys but not about how Christianity can damage society.

Since you just got here, you may not be aware of his entire posting history.

Some of the threads and post are already missing, but outright calling someone derogatory names and bringing up old threads from months ago to making insulting replies and is what more than likely led to it.

*raises eyebrows* I saw some of it.

*shrugs*

And perhaps I can't be very helpful in joining the outcry of offense because I've known him for years, am used to his moods, and can't be bothered all that much by his online rabble-rousing. He's an amazing person, really.

It's just a shame that he got 86-ed for being a bit of a dick. I've seen worse and behaviour at other forums that didn't lead to being kicked off. You should go swing by the forums at nin.com sometime. That place is over-run by honest to god trolls. I stopped visiting there more than a couple times a month because I was tired of troll drama.

To me it just sounds like he has poor forum manners, which again, I don't think is a deletion offense.

I must agree with Joe, to have seen the comments, been personally attacked or had those whom you consider friends and value their opinions personally berated gives people who are long time members a bit of and edge to make a comment on THIS site. While no one will always agree with what you say and open, thoughtful, respected discussion is always an advantage of a site. While this site is predominately a sexual based site the arena of discussion is as varied as those who are members of it. No one person , other than Drew the sole owner of the site,I believe can be responsible for the actions taken.

Just to clarify, are you saying I'm not allowed to defend my friend's integrity because I'm a noob?

I mean really? Seriously? That's what it sounds like to me.

I don't think anyone said you're not allowed to defend him because you are new. It's more that since you are new, you haven't seen the insults and derogatory comments from your friend that lead to where we are now. I did go looking for them to give you examples, however Drew has removed them.

They were harsh, and maybe it's welcomed somewhere else on other forums, but we're not there - we are here, where Drew gets to decide what is good and bad, since he pays the bills.

As I said, I've read some of them, and I'm also aware that he's not always been in a...pleasent state of mind over these past few months. He's also very blunt and sarcastic and that doesn't always translate well over the internet.

C'mon, read it carefully. It definitely seems to convey that I should be a good little noob, take my medecine, and sit down and shut up because the adults are talking. Or perhaps the curious sentence structure has me confused, in which case I'm sorry for misunderstanding the intent of Belle's words.

In any case, I'm not trying to be difficult here, it's just...Well, perhaps I'm a bit biased here. I'm sure many of you think I'm sticking around just to defend him. I'm not. Ah, I've been told I have a tendency to beat dead horses.

Actually, until he had the breakdown, a while back and shut down his profile as Azrael, most of what he posted was nearly totally acceptable here.

I have no idea what caused the initial breakdown or why he has come back in a more caustic incarnation, but I hope he get's better. From what I saw before the crash, he isn't a bad guy, just a bit dark and messed up. I thought that some of his pics showed that he was quite cute and doable.

I wasn't aware that this was an open fact. It was something I didn't want to bring up...though I do know a bit about what happened.

*nods* That's what I've been trying to say this whole time and all I'm getting is "Oh you've just got here, you don't know what kind of dick he's been". I know he's been a rabble-rouser online of late. What am I blind? But I also know he's not doing this because he's a bad guy and trying to deliberately hurt people. Honestly, and I know this is going to sound cold, I'm pretty sure he was just bored and trying to get people to think.

Well, we have had others who started out caustic, then went off their meds and got absolutely trollish and nasty.

I think that this is a case of "once bitten, twice shy".

I always did like Az--he used to be pretty cool and all---he was one of those here who was one of the "mainstays" of this place--and his posts were always as a rule, interesting and informative, even if they were a bit different--I am sure the same could be said of me and my posts.

There was a definite shift in his tone to where is posts did get kinda odd--but that was ok--but he then did start to engage in some personal attacks on people from what I heard, secondhand.

Drew is pretty accepting of all the sorts of crazy, off the wall sorts of things some of us come up with--he has no problem with that--but when people start to engage in nasty personal attacks against other site members and doing things like using the site's two forms of contacting people----sending emails to a member's listed contact external email and/or the site's internal message system--that becomes a violation of the "Terms of Service" for the site and I would say---their must have been a high degree of probabilty that AZ/Quintas had been doing--along with some forum posts that also stretch the bounds of the site's TOS.

No matter what Priestess---this site and most internet sites are not democracies---they belong to someone and like at a bar, a restaurant or any other "place of business," the management always has to right to refuse service to anyone they see fit to eject from the premises for justifiable reasons.

I would NEVER, EVER suggest that to defend the honor of ones friends and compatriots would be anything thing less than above board............................if I have offended you, I am so sorry.

But to go back to what Realist brought to the forefront...............you are new.......circumstance........what has been said, stated, written and expressed prior to your arrival; may give those of us who are here on a common circumstance. a bit of a hedge to make comments as we have made.

I should like to just say for the record...........I am a most non judgment, open minded and accepting person someone (0f stereotype) on this site that someone is open to meet. But while I do accept and encourage EVERY persons right to express their comments. I guess I am a bit peeved that folks think I lean one way...........nope.............never.............. ..........I am the most straight shooting gun you can imagine.

Most of what I saw was brutal honesty, but I didn't read everything and I can certainly understand the hurt feelings. I think there is a problem in that there really isn't a TOS or set of guidelines for this site other than the vague posting rules. Or have I just not been able to find them?

I was hoping to see Drew respond to this and maybe pin a set of forum rules. People should be clearly told where the boundaries are.

I'm also a bit peeved that any of my responses in threads Tom started are now gone. I'll often write little bits in posts on forums that spark an idea and want to come back and find out what it was that set that off in the first place. Destruction of information is rarely a good thing.

Opinions are just that, opinions, we are all entitled to them... whether they are agreed with, or disputed...however...it saddens me to see how pathetic this has all become...all this packing the forum with trivial rubbish. Grow the fuck up!

I'm entitled to give my opinion on subjects just as much as eveyone else here is.

Wow genius, I do believe that's what I stated in my prior post, the shame of it all is that your doing it in such a childish manner, thus the "grow the fuck up" comment in my prior post...as of this point I'm done with you, Iggy is our friend.

This is a very true statement Hon, but when someone purposely attacks someone blatantly, and insults the way he does, thats not being intelligent, thats being an ignorant bully. Lively, intelligent posts are great anywhere, but when you get into the degrading, trying to be in the big and bad and hurtful stage, then it just comes across as crass and unintelligent and makes him and who the hell else ever, sound like a disgruntled little kid.

I think there may be more than meets the eye here. Either Tom's personality and even his choice of sentence structure has radically changed or Berserker is some one masquerading as Tom. Either way I certainly won't attempt to defend the type of behaviour that we saw last night.

My hunch is that there is some sort of troll turf battle going on.

Oooo...aren't we clever, looking up his Myspace page? Don't you think this imposter could have done the same thing or is perhaps an overzealous friend? And don't you call me Miss Lotus, Madamoiselle. You've not earned that right.

I don't have to earn anything from you. I care not about you MISS Lotus. But anyone who is not a moron can easily see you are the last comment on his page jovially talking cake and Not "OMG someone is impersonating you on bisexual.com!!"
