I read the following in the Globe and Mail. I thought that it might be interesting to hear some posters' views on this. It is seasonal..lol

I just started seeing someone who, it turns out, is really into Halloween. And she wants us to go to a theme costume party. The costumes she wants us to wear are clever (they're, you know, concept costumes) and they go together, which is cute, but not exactly sexy. As you can probably tell, I'm not sure I want to lose my dignity in this way, but I don't want to appear to be an uptight stick-in-the-mud or to hurt her feelings either. Is it worth resisting this, or should I just make her happy and look like a goof for this one night?

Baby, Halloween is all about being something you're not (Costume-wise) Just go with the flow and have fun with it. Ham it up, have fun and loosen up for once. You may love it. BTW..whats the costume selection?

I once was ready to dress in drag for a lover for halloween, which is definitely not me. Is she important to you? If so, just do it and she'll love you all the more since she sees how devoted you are.

Couples costumes? Is that like those ads in magazines I used to see for underwear with four leg holes?

A couples' costume is two things that go together: something like a Tim's coffee and a doughnut. There is actually an ad on Canadian television showing a couple having coffee and a doughnut in a Tim's Coffee shop. This time it was the guy who came up with the concept couple's costume. They show them later at the Halloween party.
