Got an article published online and the more views I get, the more I get paid from it. So I guess I'm just promoting myself at the moment. You don't even have to read it, I don't care lol. Just please if you have a chance, just hit up the link for a minute. Thanks all.

I'll read it and comment if I can, since Stephanie Meyer is certainly an interesting figure nowadays.

But another question- do you get paid more if the same IP visits it? Like, if I click it a ton of times, does it help ya more?

Also, congrats!

Good question. It was never actually specified. All I know is that I am supposed to get paid by views :-/ Unless there is a definite way to tell if multiple clicks counts, i don't recomend wasting your time though lmfao.

Congratulations on getting your articles published!

I read the Stephanie Myers article but not the Embrace. If it gets you more money to click both, I'll do that for you. Lots of ads must be their source of paying you?

That's the trick actually. Those damn ads haha.

I actually wasn't going to outwardly put any of this on here because Embrace is a little snippit from my book and I'm very protective of it and the only reason why it's posted up is because I entered it into a contest. However, there is a date when published and all that jazz so if anyone were to try to steal my material I already have proof of it being mine.

As for it getting me more money, yes it will. The article I got paid up front for and I'm getting paid per view, on Embrace I'm only getting paid per view so every view counts towards me getting more.

Thanks for helping out.

By the way, I'm annoyed because I found at least one typo in my Stephanie Meyer article and not only did I have a friend read it first to double check for things like that, the site had to read and review it first before publishing it...yet that little bastard still got through...GRRRR

I've had that problem about typos appearing after submitting the text to be published. Fortunately, many publishers send the "final" draft to writers before going to print. I've had editors butcher my essay and publish it without my permission though(duh...always ask for a word count to guide you before submitting is the lesson that I learned) The one editor actually put his own thoughts into the essay in what he believed was condensing my essay: all without showing it to me before going to press. My name on the essay with his thoughts that contradicted my thoughts. I've had a hard copy essay published without sections in them too; way back when. In several cases, it was not intentional...dem damn gremlins. Proof readers do not always catch things.

Good fortune with your book.

I'll keep you guys posted when anything new is published. I have a couple of things that I'm waiting to hear back on and I'm in the process of submitting a few more.

Also, if any of you have any ideas that you think I should consider writing an article about, let me know.

Rissa, Well done:) Your article is really well-written. Although I am not a fan of "Twilight", you do make some very interesting points about the process of writing in your article. Congratulations on getting it published too.

Well done on getting your book published too, what genre is it?

The genre is "other" as far as myself and my friends are concerned haha. It's a vampire book. And just so you know, I haven't gotten the book published yet, just a little teaser sort of thing to it was published.

WOW, When I saw the headline "check out my stuff" I got all shook up and excited and said, I gotta see this!!! Well even though it wasn't what I was expecting to see, I did read the article and voted it yes as being helpful. So, should we also "join your fan club" Rissa? Would that help you? Or anything else that may help you with your endeavors?

Anyway, there is another internet site that people write and submit short stories and essay(s) on various subjects. It is called hub-pages and the stories are called hubs and their author are called hubbers. People are somehow paid for their hubs, although I don't know the details about how they are paid
It's called www.HubPages.com check it out!

So, keep your fingers on the keys Rissa. Theres no telling where they will take you.

Your friend, :doggie:

When I first typed "check out my stuff" I looked at it...and said "Hmmm, I wonder how that is going to be taken" lmfao. Don't feel bad though, my stuff isn't all that great anyway

As for you joining my fan club, I don't know if it is giong to help me with anything other than my own ego, but that's a plus too haha.

Thanks for telling me about the other site. I think I shall check that out too.

I have to admit that I got the wrong idea about 'Check out my stuff!', too.
But it was an interesting article. I've heard lots of things about that film, but nothing about the writer.:)

Hope your book does even better than hers.;)
