Okay so I'm at the grocery today and this elderly woman was in the chip aisle as I once again searched in vain for chicken chips.
I said, more to myself than to her, that I wish they carried chicken chips.
She asked me where I had chicken chips, I told her. She said that sounds good, wish I could go somewhere but i can't fly.
So she goes off on this tangent which was actually a cute story. Apparently she had attended a funeral of a pretty respected Democratic woman and ran into the now 35 year old granddaughter she had taught in elementary school.
One morning during the pledge of allegience she looked up and saw this little girl just crying her eyes out.
She asked her why she was so sad.
The little girl replied "why are you so mean to my grandma?"
The teacher was stunned, I don't even know your grandma she said.
"But every day we say the pledge and you make us say 'I pledge allegience to the Republicans...."
She then taught the first grade class the actual words to the pledge

IsItAllOverMyFace?
"......Let's not forget how our current president has spent the most money out of every single previous president..."
Does this include paying for the mistakes of the banking profession?
Twyla's 'double entendre' story is here appreciated.

What does being republican have anything to do with treating an old woman mean?
Everyone knows that the democrats or at least our current president are leaning towards Socialism and that they are worse than the Republicans at the pork barrel/pork earmark spending on bridges to nowhere.
Republicans care more about the rights of Senior citizens and the elderly than democrats do and that medicare for the elderly will just get fucked over if the national health care plan goes though that will put us in even more debt.
Let's not forget how our current president has spent the most money out of every single previous president, including George Bush who was previously in office, and by spending these gargantuan amounts of money that no other United States President ever has and hopefully never will again, they are putting future generations of Americans into even more debt that they'll never be able to climb out of or pay off and fucking them over even more which is what a huge government loves to do to its people in the first place and even the democrats love to do this.
Of course the sad part is that lots of children are brainwashed politically and used as pawns by their parents and teachers like the kids who sang the song about Obama in their public school since their teacher made it up, and like this little girl that Twyla wrote about.

I was wondering if I was the only one that noticed that someone didn't get the joke.
Is it possible that misunderstanding is a byproduct of skimming, rather than reading?

Thanks to the ones who actually got that it was a humorous story on misheard words.
I thought to share here with my friends as we ofttimes need a bit of humor that isn't about sex or no sex. Sad a few, as was pointed out, didn't actually get the joke.
