This has no real relevance to anything, I just noticed how friggin lazy my dog is right now...and I have proof...

The majority of the pictures I have of this dog are him lounging all over my furniture...I think I have three of him actually standing...but that's it...

He's only three years old, he's healthy and happy, but holy crap he is so lazy! He's snoring his ass off right now on my couch!

By the way he is the one that positioned the pillow on the couch before laying on it...that's how bad his laziness has become...he's practically fluffing his pillows before naptime!

But they're so cute when they do that.

BUt you should see our friends' French Mastiff. When he lays about on the couch, he takes up the whole couch.:doggie:

Fortunately, for us, our little girl likes to curl up next to us and she is no bigger than yours.:)

OH MY GOD...it lives...he just got up to go bark at a squirel!

But now he's over it and he's starting to get comfy on the couch again lol.

It's not that bad, unless they step on your bare feet. Our little girl weighs 55 lbs.

My cat was like that, to a lesser degree. She liked to sleep on my bed. Cue---everybody say "Awww...". I had to give her up, though. :(

My family also had a lap dog, who just loved attention. She was a bichon frise, though. She was tiny compared to your dog, Rissa. She was only fourteen pounds, and until the end of her life, she liked to snuggle and get belly rubs. Her name was "Bobbie", cus that's how I said "puppy" when I was three and a half.

Sorry to ramble so long about my former pets. I liked seeing pictures and hearing about your dog, Rissa.

I know what you mean Rissa. My dogs live a very charmed life....they wake up and after doing the one thing that is required of them (going outside to pee or poop) they have nothing more to do than eat, sleep and bark at the occasional squirrel. I think it irritates my cat...he loves nothing more than to take a quick bite on their rears while they are sleeping! LOL!

I think dogs are designed this way. They chase. They hunt. They eat and excrete. They play. The rest of the time is for lazing about.

What I want to know is how does my dog know to lie smack in the middle of the bed or futon so that I don't have much room to sit? She is so tiny but manages to get right in the middle ....lol

Oh my god, we finally had to have a no dog in the bed rule because my baby likes to squeeze in between my legs or lays across my body in the middle of the night and I wake up like "Hmmm, why can't I get comfortable." Now that hubby's been gone, he keeps sneaking up and sleeping on his side of the bed a few times at night lol. He seems to not realize how much space he takes up and enjoys making me have to tell him to move all the time haha.

Rissa, he's lazy, because everything is OK.

He's run all of the lions and tigers off, so he's due a break!

Think about it, have you been bothered by any wild animals, terrorists, or irritating family members? I'd guess not...he's doing his job...give him a break!

It's funny you mention the lions and tigers because his breed originally came from africa and they were used to help herd up the lions lol.
