Ok. I Swam thru Torchwood and loved it, and have begun to watch the Doctor Who series since it spun off of There. I tried watching it a long time ago, and with my hectic life just couldnt sit still long enough to get into it. :( But now, I'm liking it. :} I even got thru Sanctuary and it was ok, and tried watching Primal but lost interest in that one. So, we'll see what all others I can find now..;)

I never really got into a few of the newer series....gee could be that I spend my waking hours talking to a sexy Kiwi. I do watch a few things that are syndicated before I crash and thanks to the wonders of the internet, I can watch shows online.

There was this one show I watched in NZ and I loved it, it was a BBC show and I was disappointed to know it wasn't continued. It was called "Apparitions"

Two of my all time favorite shows happen to be in the Sci-fi genre: Farscape and Firefly. Both were sadly cut short (Farscape-4 seasons of a planned six season story-arc, and Firefly got botched in it's first season---Damn you Fox and SyFy Channels!!!), but happily both were concluded with full length films ("The Peacekeeper Wars" for Farscape and "Serenity" for Firefly).

Also, happily, the full boxed set of all four seasons of Farscape recently were re-released on DVD in a more affordable, sexy variant than the old boxed sets. Hurray! Oh, and as a super added bonus, both leading men, Ben Browder (Farscape) and Nathan FIllion (Firefly) are super yummy. If you haven't seen one or either I recommend them highly.

have a look at "Survivors". It's another british sci fi show that started a year or so ago but it's actually a remake of a 1975 british series with the same title. Basically it's the story that Stephen King ripped off when he wrote The Stand a few years later.

Kind of interesting :)

Me mum an dad wotched the 'riginal series.. me dad used 2 fancy 1a the girls much 2 me mum's chagrin.. Carolyn sumbody or totha.. they reckon the new series is not haff as gud.. for me? Not the biggest Science Fiction person.. but owt wiv Zoe Tapper in it (playin a bisexual part lemme say) is always worth a lil look see.. an ya kno wot? Its not haff bad a series.. cos its all 2 possible..

..an wile me membas.. didn hold out 2 much hope for Ashes 2 Ashes afta Life on Mars .. but its arguably ev bit as gud.. Keeley Hawes is gorge an is ver gud but the show is def made by Philip Glenister as a rite ole reactionary copper.. Series 3.. the last starts up at Easter an me cant wait..

".....but happily both were concluded with full length films ("The Peacekeeper Wars" for Farscape and "Serenity" for Firefly)......

Saw Serenity but thanks for the info on Farscape

I confess to liking Babylon 5 & Crusader. Much respect to M.J. Straczynski for not compromising his principles in the writing (cf 'Lexx' which had tremendous potential but just got silly). Impressed when I saw Straczynski's name as the screen writer for the Changeling (produced by Clint Eastwood).

Dr Who - the original with William Hartnell never bettered (although Tom Baker later introduced into the world of comedy).

Sci-FI...... must pull myself away
