An icon of the silver screen has passed into history. Art Linkletter was an inspiration to many of us here in the states, and he's passed away at the Golden age of 97. He provided hours and hours of laughter, and was such a joy to watch. His book "Kids say the darndest things" was a great thing for me when I was in the hospital many years ago, and it made the time pass a little faster. He visited many hospitals and homes for those with Downs Syndrome children, and I was privledged to get to see him when he did a visit to my little sister's school in the early 70's, and attended one of his lectures in 1999.
RIP Art, you'll be missed, Hon

I remember watching his show with my grandmother when I was a child. It was hysterical. Cherished moments to be sure.

And another today. 5/29/10.
Dennis Hopper, who played starring roles and character roles in dozens of films from the late 1950's to today. Died of cancer.

As a kid, I was a big fan of Art Linkletter. He did so much to make the world a better place; he brought joy and laughter to millions of people. I'll miss him.

RIP all those that left us so soon...
The grim reality of aging is we see our friends, foes and heroes and heroines go before us. Some are truly missed, others we never knew or had no thoughts of..til now...
Everything matters...either now or later, for some it will always be yesterday. Live each day for the sweet gift it is...time is fleeting, madness takes control[RHPS]...
