Buy yourself a few different sized dongs or dildoes and use them to get your rectum used to things being inside it. I'd recommend a water based gel type lube. like KY Jelly when using dongs as they don't run all over the place like liquid lubes do. When doing the real thing, use whatever kind of lube you or your partner prefer.
