Awhile back Marie had posted a link for us to send emails to our Congressman about ENDA, I added to mine that I was a registered voter.
I recieved today a response from Senator Mitch McConnell. In a nutshell he says he thinks ENDA may infringe too deeply on religious rights of employers but should the bill come to a full debate before Congress he'd keep my remarks in mind.... I call bullshit but then he's a politician

For the record I sent another email to the Congressman telling him the Constitution also provides for seperation of church and state and that ones sexual preference has no bearing on their fitness to work no matter what the evil Christians think about it. Signed it again, Registered Voter.

You may want to remind him that he works for ALL of his constituents not just the right wing special interest. He can look that up in his oath of office.
You should also want to send him some data that supports your position. The more the merrier.
Data speaks volumes more than anything else that you can say on your own.
I would even flood him with as much supporting data that you can get your hands on.
The worst enemy of a cause is the zealot that is full of opinions and doesn't back up their words with demonstrated facts.
That has been the problem with overcoming the injustices of the family court and child support industries by fathers.
It is amazing the things that you learn after 30 years of fighting for motorcyclist rights and 20 years for fathers' rights, which can be applied to all other causes.
