Thought I would settle a bet with a friend ... this has nothing to do with safe sex/STD's but more pregnancy...Can you get pregnant by just having a penis go inside the vagina even if it's just for a second. So the question is can you and the likely hood of this happening. So it's just put it in and immediately pull it out. No lingering in there saying "Hello" just slide in and slide out ...

Well yes. There are plenty of sperm in the pre-cum seminal fluid. Not as many as are in the ejaculate but it only takes one. Just google it and you'll find a ton of info on the subject. This seems like an odd question from an adult.

That's what I tried to tell him regarding the pre-cum. But he was so convinced ... that he got my mind thinking ... He kept saying that pre-cum / pregnancy happens because of the pull-out method. In that scenario there is usually quite a bit of movement and friction and time before ejaculation.
At least I win my bet :) ...

Highly unlikely.
Possible.
Like HIV. A single exposure to someone HIV positive (via accidental 'stick' or sex) is very unlikely (last published odds are 300 to one), but still distinctly possible. Repeated sex with HIV+ person is usually the way HIV is contracted sexually.
Sharing needles in deliberate injection of both infected and uninfected subject is much higher.
Focusing just on pregnancy the (externally observable) factors are at what point of ovulation the female is and how young the male is.
If there is no egg, then coitus until ejaculation will have no reproductive effect even with the most fertile man.
Assuming this happens during the few days of maximum fertility of the female, and the male is assumed to be fully healthy with lots of 'swimmers', there's still a very low chance of pregnancy. Hundreds, perhaps a few thousand sperm (in a single thrust?!? -very little precum in the most secreting of males) in an acidic environment without the ph advantage of semen and numbers advantage of millions of sperm... if you only do this once in your life.
But who can stop at a single thrust?
Consumate the damned relationship and take the necessary disease/pregnancy preventatives.
I'm assuming you're young and your boyfriend wants more intimate contact.
If pregnancy is all you're worried about, have protected sex with him until 2 or 3 ejaculations (masturbation, sex with spermicide condom, oral sex) - the night before; his sperm count will be very lowered. Figure your fertility period. Do it at the opposite time of fertility in your month.
But the single thrust thing... sure, as stated is very, very low risk, but... once you both experience this level of intimacy, skin on skin - penis in vagina, who can resist not yielding to nature/more?
"Aye, there's the rub." Shakespere pun intended.
But I suspect he simply wants to move forward in physical intimacy. This is normal, natural, and potentially/progressively dangerous in the context of disease and pregnancy.
But youth? Ah, youth. The overwhelming desire to have unprotected/unlimited/uninhibited sex in the pursuit of love, lust, and intimacy...
Most of the people I know, exist because of this strong sexual desire (accidents).
Very few were 'planned'.
As a matter of fact, there are about 7 billion testaments on planet Earth as to the power of sexual desire and the possibility of pregnancy.

A little off the subject, but....
The most outrageous thing I ever heard (I thought) was, a friend's daughter got pregnant, but she swore they had only had anal sex, from day one. Since she was very young and scared to death of her mother, she and her boyfriend were committed to anal sex, so she would not get pregnant. The doctor confirmed that she had never been penetrated. (I assume her hymen was intact)
Anyway, the explanation the father got was, if any semen escaped from her anus and ran into her vagina, the sperm could have lived long enough to do the job! Tough little suckers, ain't they?
Seems incredible to me, though. At 69, I'm still learning.

there was a case many years ago,
it concerned a female that was born without a vaginal opening,
she was preforming oral sex on her current boyfriend and she was attacked and stabbed by her ex boyfriend in the stomach,
her boyfriend had just cum in her mouth and when stabbed by her ex, her uterus was punctured, and sperm from her mouth ended up in her uterus and indeed she got pregnant.......
it sounds like utter bs, but in fact its true, its a medically documented case...
so in answer to your question, happygolucky, YES, however unlikely, its possible.... as its the same way females generally get pregnant.... so yes, the chances are there, how ever minor
